I think we can all agree the festive season is one of the most difficult periods to stay on top of our healthy habits and routines.
The past month I’ve definitely lost my way (particularly with exercise) and I have felt the consequences in more ways than one!
I’ve come up with some realistic tips to help you carry out the remaining of the year, feeling energised and good about yourself 🫶🏼
~ Celebrate the slow mornings. This is the perfect period to rest, recuperate and keep our cortisol levels in check. Avoid alarm setting if you can and embrace having no early morning plans.
~ Make your social gatherings active. Instead of opting for sundowner cocktails (as tempting as they are), try breaking it up with a Pilates class or long walk with a friend. Your gut will thank you!
~ If you have New Year’s resolutions - start them now! You don’t have to wait until the clock strikes to start a new habit. It’s much easier to slowly progress into the habit now and take the pressure off.
~ Be gentle on yourself, this period is for slowing down, sharing delicious food and soaking up family/friend time. Your weight on the scale never overrides this.
Big love this season 🤎
