When I’m up-levelling into a different season of my life, the first place I revise is my health.
What amazes me is how organic this process this.
My mind, body and nervous system just innately knows that in order to expand my capacity for more, I must revise my energy inputs and outputs.
It’s not something that I consciously look to focus on. I’ve observed this as a completely organic process that my body’s intelligence naturally does.
As a leader, I think one of the most powerful areas of focus needs to be on our energy input and output; finding the balance between the things that charge us and the things that decharge us.
If we don’t master this…
It can lead to burn out. Accumulative stress. Overwhelm. A decrease in cognitive function. And a distancing from people and loved ones, due to lack of energy reserve.
If you are moving into a different of season of your life, that requires you to expand your capacity for more or that requires different parts of you to come to the forefront, I highly encourage you to focus on finding balance between your energy input and output.
Balance lays a powerful foundation for your ability to be and perform at an optimal level.
