Anzac Day

We were very proud to come together on Friday the 24th to observe ANZAC Day here at the Terraces.
It was a truly memorable and respectful service, with residents, families, and staff gathering to reflect and remember those who have served and sacrificed. It was lovely to see families join us for this important occasion.

Following the service, we shared a morning tea filled with connection and conversation, always a special part of the day.

In the afternoon, we respectfully enjoyed a game of two-up (with tokens), bringing a lighthearted close to the day. It was wonderful to see so many smiles and hear the laughter, honouring tradition in a way that felt meaningful for everyone.

Today, Saturday 25 April, our communities across Australia are coming together to commemorate Anzac Day on the 111th anniversary of the Gallipoli landings. For many, this whole week has been about reflecting and honouring those who have served in times of peace and war.

We were lucky enough to sit down with several veterans in the lead up to today and are honoured to be sharing their stories of resilience, comradery and hope.

Our fluffy little Henny Penny friends have well and truly stolen hearts over the past two weeks 🐥💛

They’ve brought smiles, cuddles, and plenty of happy chatter to the home, and on Friday they headed off to their new farm adventures. We’ll certainly miss their tiny chirps!

Special thanks to our Lifestyle farm hands & to our staff who also visited with residents and shared special moments.

From Easter artwork and our Easter Bingo Bonanza, to surprise visits from the Easter Bunny at happy hour, it’s been a week full of laughter and fun—before our residents were treated to special Easter Sunday gift deliveries to top it all off.

Thank you to our Lifestyle team who made the week enjoyable and to Care Champions Fiona and Elizabeth, wonderful decorations that made each level look egg-cellent!
