So it turns out I’m not a home stead mum. Or a trying to earn millions online type mum.

I am me.

I’ve been spending a whole lot of time asking me what is that lights me up?

The truth be known I haven’t been too sure and so I stripped it all back and I’m sitting in the gap. The gap is good. Without social media mostly. Not looking at others and what they’re doing means I can fully embody what’s in alignment for me. And it’s not what I thought. I have my own dharma and it’s no one else’s. There are women who go out to work and women who don’t. Neither is any less. I like to work and balance it with full days with my homeschooled babes. Their karma is they have a working mother. It’s written all over their star charts. ✨✨✨

The beautiful work of women and babes in my hands feels good. Being on the job, albeit my own business feels really good. It doesn’t feel extra to touch women’s lives positively almost like a butterfly 🦋 … a little breastfeeding and women’s magic and then gone.

The work is, I feel, to touch peoples lives so magically you leave them in a better place than they were before.

Whoever you are and whatever you do.

To my midwife sisters true to their art and advocating strongly for women

‘Happy Midwives Day’ 💫💫💫

Becoming a midwife in 2005 was one of the most pivotal moments of my life. It’s has shaped so much of who I am and where I am today. Though I have struggled with the maternity system and still do, true midwifery in of itself is truly an art form and I have not a single regret in becoming one.

It is indeed a true privilege to attend birth but it’s also truly a privilege to walk alongside a woman in her whole journey and witness her transcendence into motherhood. Her rebirth of self. The awe, beauty and magic is never ever lost on me in each and every part of her overture 💫
