Another beautiful morning for our class today ☀️
Today we paused, posed and flowed to the theme of ‘grounding’. Grounding is an important concept to integrate into our busy lives as it anchors us into the present moment of here and now, which helps to manage anxiety and stress, thereby creating a sense of safety, stability, and calm.
There are a few techniques around to do this, today we used the art of simply deep breathing while working through our challenging balance Aqua Yoga poses that required one leg at least to be a solid base grounding onto the pool floor in order to stay upright. The benefit of doing these poses in the water is that it in turn helps support the body with its denser than air property, and if you fall, you have a soft landing 😉
As a result we had some beautifully anchored smiling trees today, well done ladies! 🧘🏻♀️🌳💦
