Pregnancy Massage Position and Set-up
(Tip- also a comfortable set up for bed at home)

Why side lying?
Pregnancy Massage Australia recommends it as the safest most effective position.
There is better support on the pelvis and reduces strain on uterine and pelvic ligaments. It relieves strain on lower back muscles and decreases sinus pressure.

A firm pillow between the legs supporting groin, knees and ankles with hips and knees in 90° will give the most comfortable position for the lower back and pelvis. It’s also a great position for me as the therapist to address and treat hip and low back pain.

The pillow set up I use is stable and comfortable!

With a trained Pregnancy Massage Practitioner pregnancy massage is safe from conception right up until birth providing there are no contraindications ❤️

Thought I would introduce myself 👋🏽

I am Allysha the owner and therapist at Limber Therapies. I’m a trained Remedial Massage Therapist, Pregnancy Massage Practitioner & Infant Massage Consultant.
I have been a therapist for almost 8 years.

I am originally from country Vic but moved to the GC in 2011, made some great friends and mems, met a great man, married him and had a beautiful little boy who keeps me busy when I’m not working.

My family and I just got back from a 5month road trip through Australia, which was incredible!!

I enjoy a lot of things, the list is too long.
My camera roll is filled with landscaped photos, gumtrees and my son 😆

When I’m not treating, I’m working as a disability support worker, hanging with my family or friends, or getting massages for myself!
