📚Back to school prepping!
These Chicken and Veg Sausage Rolls are a hit in our household.
Cooked lightly and then reheated and packed in a flask, for school lunches. Or a quick, easy nutritious snack when they return home ravenous!

🥙🍗🥕Packed with protein to balance blood sugar and help with mood and focus at school. Carbs for energy and veg for fibre, vitamins and minerals. The cheese and h**p seeds for added flavor and fats. Who doesn’t love cheese!

🔄 These go on rotation with homemade sushi, a pasta dish, leftovers and usually a sandwich/wrap of some sort.

My husband thinks I’m a little OCD .. lol 😆 But I love knowing my kids have a variety of nutritious lunches weekly, to support their energy, focus, mood, growth and development.

PMDD - Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder.
Is a severe hormonal sensitivity that shows up in the Luteal phase of a woman’s cycle.

Think intense mood swings, rage, anxiety, depression or feeling like a completely different person. And then symptoms vanish as soon as your period starts.

PMDD is related to hypersensitivity to normal hormonal shifts - a miscommunication between Allopregnanolone (from progesterone) at the GABA receptor site. Alongside altered seratonin signaling, inflammation and nervous system dysregulation.

😣I CRINGE at the food options at Theme Parks.
🥗This is a Woollies salad bowl that I often grab as a convenient, ready made lunch.
🍗And add some quality lean protein. The dressing is a bit meh.. but it’ll do!

As estrogen and progesterone fluctuate, so can your mood, sleep, anxiety, and stress levels. It’s not “just in your head” - it’s in your hormones.

1️⃣ Eating ultra-processed foods & drinking excess alcohol
Think packaged snacks, soft drinks & fast food = inflammation and your gut bugs hate them.

2️⃣ Not exercising daily.
Exercise reduces inflammation, increases circulation & promotes regular bowel movements.

3️⃣ Overusing Antibiotics & PPI’s
Necessary sometimes, but they wipe out good bugs too. Always restore with probiotics and gut healing nutrients.

4️⃣ Constant snacking.
Doesn’t give our digestive system a chance to ‘clean the house’ between meals. And can lead to bacterial overgrowth.

5️⃣ Eating stressed or in a hurried state.
Stress literally shuts down stomach function. Cue bloating, pain, inflammation.

6️⃣ Limiting antioxidant rich fruit & veges!
Your healthy gut microbes feed on fibre. No veges = starving bugs.
