Endometriosis Awareness Month
Severe period pain is not normal.
Endometriosis affects 1 in 9 Australian women, yet many wait years for diagnosis and proper support. Being told to “just take painkillers” or that it’s “part of being a woman” is unfortunately common.
From a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective, significant menstrual pain indicates imbalance; often involving blood stasis, qi stagnation, inflammation, or underlying deficiency. Pain is seen as a sign that something isn’t flowing as it should.
While there is no immediate cure for endometriosis, supportive care can make a meaningful difference in quality of life.
Acupuncture may help to:
• Reduce pelvic pain
• Improve circulation
• Regulate cycles
• Support hormonal balance
• Calm the nervous system
If your pain is disrupting your work, relationships, or daily life, you deserve to be taken seriously.
Awareness matters. Early support matters. Listening to women matters.
