A great weekend at Bungendore with a group of 12 riders, including plenty of new faces.

Across the two days, riders focused on the fundamentals — being slow, smooth and correct, building softness, control and confidence before putting everything together through the exercises, mechanical cow program, motorbike sessions and cattle work. ✅

It was fantastic to see the improvement right across the group. As the weekend progressed, riders became more confident and consistent, and horses started to soften, respond and connect as the fundamentals came together.

Across 2 great days, riders worked on the fundamentals — focusing on being 𝘴𝘭𝘰𝘸, 𝘴𝘮𝘰𝘰𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘵, finding 𝘴𝘰𝘧𝘵𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 and control before putting everything together with the mechanical cow and cattle work. ✅ 🏁 🦬

One of the key reminders throughout the clinic was just how sensitive horses really are. 𝘏𝘰𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘥𝘥𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘳𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘴, 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘣𝘰𝘥𝘺, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘤𝘶𝘦𝘴.

When riders became more correct, balanced and deliberate with their 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘵, the horses responded immediately. That’s where the biggest improvements came from — 𝘴𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘢𝘥𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 that helped horses soften, relax and work with their rider instead of against them. 🖐️ 👣

What a great (and hot!) weekend at Bungendore for our second Horsemanship & Campdraft Clinic. Despite the challenging conditions, riders and horses dug deep and made the most of two solid days focusing on being slow, smooth and correct and putting all the exercises together. ✅

The improvement over the weekend was a real highlight - riders becoming more confident and decisive, and horses softening, and responding as the fundamentals started to click. Seeing those small adjustments translate into better feel, control and confidence was incredibly rewarding.🔥🐴🤠

We had an incredible couple of days at our Kids Horsemanship & Campdraft Clinic.

We were blown away by the enthusiasm, manners, and effort from every single one of these young riders. Over the two days we focused on solid horsemanship foundations, control and feel - 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘸𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘸 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘩𝘶𝘨𝘦.

A massive thank you to the parents and families for your support, and of course to the kids for showing up keen, respectful, and ready to learn. You should all be very proud of how your horses and kids handled themselves.

We love investing in the next generation of horsemen and horsewomen and can’t wait to see where these young riders go next.
