A quick note for our VAA community! We're making a positive change to better serve you.

To simplify things and bring everyone together in one place, we will now be focusing solely on our VAA Facebook Group.

We've found that the group format offers a much more dynamic and interactive experience for everyone. We're doing this because we want to create a private space where you can freely comment, have conversations, and share without worrying about the whole world seeing what you post.

Starting now, we will no longer be posting new content on this page. Please join our vibrant community in the Facebook Group to ensure you don't miss out on anything.

We're excited to see our community grow and thrive in the group and can't wait for you to join us.

☀️ Summer is nearly here in Australia — time for sunshine, BBQs, and beach days!

For those of us with vitiligo, some parts of the skin are more sensitive to the sun, so a little extra care goes a long way.

Stick with reputable, well-tested sunscreens, and don’t forget hats, clothing, and shade. That way you can enjoy the sunshine safely and confidently.

Let’s make sun protection part of our summer routine — because healthy skin is happy skin! ✨

✨ Have you ever thought about being part of vitiligo research?

At VAA, we’re committed to supporting opportunities that may improve the lives of people living with vitiligo. That’s why we’ve partnered with Evrima Technologies to share information about a new clinical trial exploring potential innovative treatment options.

Vitiligo is about more than skin — it can affect confidence, wellbeing, and daily life. By choosing to take part, you’ll not only contribute to advancing research but also help open doors to potential new treatment options for our community.

🌏💛 International Friendship Day 💛🌏

Today we’re celebrating the kind of friendships that make all the difference, the ones that offer a safe space, a supportive ear, a moment of laughter, or just a quiet “I get it.”

Whether you’ve connected here in the VAA group or found your people elsewhere, we honour the power of friendship to uplift, heal and remind us we’re not alone.

Tag someone who’s walked beside you. ❤️

Last Sunday 22nd June, the VAA held our World Vitiligo Day event and it was amazing.

Our community came together to be in community, listen to inspiring speakers, learn, share and have a little fun.

All of that and then some, because everyone walked away with a mountain of goodies in their gift bags worth around $400, thanks to our generous donor brands.

If anyone in the group was present, either in person or online, we'd love to hear your feedback on what you thought about the event.

We'll share more posts and video over the coming week. I hope everyone enjoyed World Vitiligo Day yesterday 💜
