💫 I thought I would introduce myself for those who are new here or have yet to meet me 💫
I have been a midwife for almost 20 years. I have worked 16 years in the hospital system, 10 of those years in a continuity of care program, before going into private midwifery.
Why did I do that?
✴️Because I believe in personalised women centred care.
✴️Care that supports women’s informed choices.
✴️Relationship based care that supports women for the person that they are, and what is most important to them.
✴️To enable women to feel confident in birth, and empowered in their choices.
✴️To feel safe in their journey to bring their little one earthside with a midwife who knows them and their family, and to support them navigating parenthood.
I believe ALL women should have access to this type of care.
I am also a qualified lactation consultant, who is passionate about supporting women with evidence based information and ongoing support on their feeding journey.
Outside of midwifery, I am married to my husband of 28 years, with two adult children. I have lived in the Hawkesbury (which I love) for most of my life. I love reading, podcasts, the outdoors, animals of any description, horse riding, swimming, water and snow skiing, scuba diving and seeing the world 🩷
