I really should update more but have been busy cryoing horses and dogs flat out. I would like to say a huge congratulations to all the clients whose animals have won, place and just generally improved since starting cryotherapy.

A huge congratulations to one of our clients Samantha Lee and her stunning horse Monty, who placed 3rd at state champs this weekend.

Monty came to me at the end of December with hind tendon issues, he has been receiving regular treatments and his performance proves his success with cryotherapy, and now it is just a matter of upkeep and maintenance to make sure he keeps feeling great and performing to his best.

Post-treatment, blood vessels will dilate to heat the cooled area back up and return to
homeostasis.
During vasodilation:
● Smooth muscle tissue relaxes
● Blood vessels dilate by 117%
● Oxygen-rich blood is sent to the area with other important nutrients such as:
● Glucose: The primary energy source for cells.
● Amino acids: Building blocks of proteins.
● Fatty acids: Used for energy and cell membrane structure.
● Vitamins: Water-soluble vitamins (B complex, C) and Fat-soluble vitamins (A, D,
E, K) bound to carrier proteins
● Minerals: Electrolytes (sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium) and Trace
elements (iron, zinc, copper)
● Proteins: Albumin (carries various substances) and Globulins (including
antibodies)
● Hormones: Various endocrine signaling molecules
● Collagen synthesis increases supporting the skin’s natural repair processes.

This technique allows for more accurate and uniformly regulated stimulation than can be achieved with manual stimulation of the needles alone.

Below you can see the stimulation of the muscles and nerves on a horse with a sore back.

Not one but 2 clients of Shayannic Cryotherapy managed to make it to the winners stall yesterday on Devonport cup day. A massive thank you and congratulations to the trainers and connections of “Geegees city boy” and “getcha groove on”

It is a privilege to be able to help assist these guys on getting them in good health for the races and I’m proud to see that our treatments are giving remarkable results so quick.

What is cryotherapy?

VASOMOTOR EFFECT
Extreme cold triggers vasoconstriction, blood vessels in the cooled area constrict reducing in diameter. Blood is redirected to vital organs, where it attains heightened oxygen and nutrient density. The decrease in blood flow reduces swelling & inflammation in the cooled tissues and prevents further build-up of excess fluids.
Post-treatment, vasodilation occurs to warm the cooled tissues back up to normal skin temperature. Smooth muscle relaxes and blood vessels expand, increasing in diameter. Blood enters the treated area at an increased volume. Oxygen, collagen & other essential nutrients are delivered to tissues for repair & recovery, while toxins and other waste substances are removed. Muscle elasticity and flexibility are improved, reducing tightness and increasing mobility.
