Inclusive employment is a buzzword until it’s put into action. 🛠️

It’s one thing to talk about the misconceptions surrounding disability employment; it’s another thing entirely to actively dismantle them.

Orange Basket's Steve Brown, Manager for Disability Employment & Partnerships, joined Jen Demiri on her podcast to do exactly that. The podcast explored why so many businesses are still underestimating the incredible talent pool within the disability community and how to bridge that "opportunity gap."

But the most exciting part of this story isn't the podcast itself—it’s the partnership that has grown from it. Jen has become a powerhouse advocate and a strong partner for Orange Basket Community Services, helping us drive inclusive employment outcomes here in South Australia.

Today we proudly recognise and celebrate Jen Demiri, an incredible woman whose generosity and commitment make a real difference at Orange Basket Community Services.

Jen volunteers her time as a valued member of our Fundraising Committee, helping to strengthen opportunities for people living with disability through supported employment. Her dedication behind the scenes plays an important role in helping our organisation grow and thrive.

We are also deeply grateful to Jen for recently recording a podcast for us — sharing her insights, passion and support for our mission. Her voice helps amplify the impact of our work and the stories of the people we support.
