Dear HKS Patients,

HKS Medical Centre now have Flu Vaccinations available.
The flu is the most common vaccine preventable illness in Australia.

Vaccination is a safe and effective way to help protect you from the flu. By getting vaccinated, you also help protect those that are too ill or too young to be vaccinated and help slow the spread of the disease.

Please see Eligibility free influenza vaccine list.

-All aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander persons aged 6 months and over
-All children ages 6 months to less than 5 years of age
-Pregnant women
-People aged 65 years and over
-All individuals aged 5 years and over with medical risk conditions, namely:
•Cardiac disease
•Chronic respiratory conditions
•Chronic neurological conditions
•Immunocompromising conditions
•Diabetes and other metabolic disorders
•Chronic renal failure
•Haemoglobinopathies
•Children aged 6 months to 10 years on long term aspirin therapy
