Team leader Arborist
Climbcare is an established provider of Arboricultural services to government, councils, civil, commercial and private clients. Based in Helensburgh and servicing the Illawarra, Southern Highlands and Sydney regions with occasional, short-term away work, we offer high quality prunings, dead wooding, removals and mulching.
Owned and operated by an experienced arborist with 2 decades of industry experience. Climbcare will provide an environment where you can learn and hone your craft as a team leader and arborist working with a team of passionate individuals with a range of industry experience.
We are looking for an arborist to take on a leadership position within our crew and enable them to do their best work whilst also delivering high quality work themselves. We want a team player who is willing to put in the hard yards and fill whatever role is required on site whether that be climbing, rigging, mulching, felling or chatting to the client whilst also directing the crew and making sure jobs are being completed to a high standard. Whether that be during the morning pre-job preparation, on site setup, during the job or the end of the day cleanup.
Suitable candidates must have the following qualities
Strong work ethic
A desire to leave the work site cleaner than when we got there
The ability to lead a team
The ability to keep a cool head in a stressful situation
A desire to teach, be taught by and share knowledge with other members of the crew
The ability to turn up to site or the yard on time every day
A willingness to put in the extra mile, or hour sometimes to finish a job
Suitable candidates must also have
Experience in the tree industry with a cert 3 in Arboriculture or higher
Industry Experience (preferably climbing)
A driver's licence and an MR truck licence
First Aid/Traffic Control ticket desirable
Experience working as part of a team in a range of roles within the industry
A positive attitude towards all members of the team
Work days generally start at 6am in the yard but this can be negotiable depending on circumstances.
Work is generally 4-5 days a week with some work trips being longer

Pay rate is $35-45 an hour depending on experience
