Let's talk about Plantar-fasciitis...
Do you get pain near your heel or on the base of your foot? Chances are you have plantar fasciitis.
Plantar fasciitis is a common and often painful condition that affects the bottom of the foot. It occurs when the thick band of tissue that runs across the bottom of the foot, called the plantar fascia, becomes inflamed or irritated. This can result in sharp pain and stiffness, particularly in the heel area, making activities like walking and standing uncomfortable.
Plantar fasciitis is frequently caused by overuse, improper footwear, or biomechanical issues, but it can also be associated with conditions like obesity or high-impact sports.
Treatment may involve rest, stretching and strengthening exercises, footwear modification, taping or other physiotherapy techniques. A physiotherapist will provide an individualised assessment and treatment plan to get you feeling your best again.
