Not all moisturisers feel the same.
A suitable moisturiser should support your skin throughout the day. Signs it might not be the right match for you:
Skin feels tight or uncomfortable shortly after applying
You find yourself reapplying often
Skin feels better briefly, then goes back to normal
Moisturising is about keeping your skin comfortable and supported.

One of the most common reasons skin doesn’t seem to improve isn’t lack of effort — it’s whether your products are the right match for your skin.
Signs your skincare might not be doing what you think:
Skin feels okay temporarily, but nothing really changes → comfort ≠ correction
You’re consistent, but results plateau quickly → may reflect formulation or delivery limits
New products cause reactivity → could indicate barrier stress
Effective skincare works steadily over time, not in cycles.
Finding products that suit your skin is key to keeping it healthy and comfortable.

LED vs Chemical Peels
LED is gentle and supportive — perfect for calming rosacea, soothing acne, and repairing minor skin barrier issues.
Chemical peels go deeper — boosting cell turnover, exfoliating, and actively treating skin concerns.
Think of it like: LED = support & maintenance, Peels = serious skin renewal.

A calm, pregnancy-friendly space for mums-to-be and little ones.
Nurse-led care — every treatment starts with a consultation to discuss what’s safe and comfortable for you.
Gentle, thoughtful treatments — relaxing, pregnancy-appropriate options, with little ones welcome (no stress if they come along!).
Your health comes first — every pregnancy is unique, so always check with your healthcare provider about treatments.

More aggressive does not always mean more appropriate.
When the skin barrier is impaired or the skin is inflamed, stronger treatments may not be suitable. In many cases, supporting and repairing the skin barrier with gentle, evidence-informed care is an important first step.
Consistency and preparation play a key role in long-term skin health.
At The Dermal Clinic, we focus on individualised treatment plans tailored to your skin’s needs.

Chemical Peels Vs LED
These treatments perform different roles within a professional skin plan, and they are not interchangeable.
Chemical peels are designed to stimulate controlled exfoliation and skin renewal under professional supervision.
LED therapy is commonly used to support skin recovery, assist in reducing visible inflammation, and help regulate certain skin responses.
Choosing the right treatment at the right time is key to maintaining skin integrity and supporting consistent progress. More treatment is not always better — appropriate treatment selection matters.
Every skin is different. A consultation is required to determine suitability and treatment approach.

More aggressive is not always better.
Highly inflamed skin does not heal or respond optimally when it is continually pushed beyond its tolerance. Excessive intensity can further compromise barrier function and, in some cases, delay progress.
Consistency and appropriate recovery play an important role in supporting long-term skin improvement.
Protecting the skin is part of the treatment plan — not a pause from it. When the skin is calm and supported, it is often better equipped to respond to professional care.
Every treatment approach should be tailored to individual skin needs. Consultation required to determine suitability.

Masks are supportive, not corrective.
Masks are designed to calm, soothe, and hydrate the skin—they provide comfort after treatments but are not a long-term solution or a corrective tool. Use them as a supportive step in your skincare routine, not as a treatment.

Most people don’t buy the wrong products on purpose — they buy what’s accessible or recommended, often without a proper skin assessment.
This month is about helping you transition properly.
Bring in any empty, used, or unused skincare or cosmetic products and receive $20 off one clinical skincare product.
• One product returned = $20 off one product
• Discounts can’t be stacked on a single item
• Each product gets its own discount
• Guided by what your skin actually needs now
This isn’t about swapping one product for another.
It’s about choosing skincare that’s right for your skin.

Needling is a skin-penetration procedure. That means it carries the same infection control obligations as any treatment that breaches the skin.

The needle cartridge is a sterile, single-use medical consumable. It is designed to be opened immediately prior to treatment and disposed of straight afterwards. It cannot be safely sterilised for reuse.
Why this matters.

When the skin barrier is disrupted, there is a direct pathway for bacteria and viruses to enter tissue. Reusing a cartridge increases the risk of cross-contamination, infection, delayed healing, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and scarring.

There is also a mechanical consideration. After one treatment the needles are no longer at peak sharpness. Blunted needles increase tissue trauma and inflammation and can compromise clinical outcomes.

Australian infection prevention standards are clear. Single-use skin-penetration devices must not be reused.
You have the right to ask to see sterile packaging opened in front of you. That is informed consent and safe practice.
Your health is not an area to compromise.

Clinic-grade products are an investment, not just a purchase. ✨
Products from over-the-counter retailers may look similar to what you get in a clinic, but the difference lies in quality and absorption. Clinic-grade or cosmeceutical products are finely milled, allowing the active ingredients to pe*****te your skin more effectively. While they come at a higher price point, you’re paying for better results and maximum benefit—not just the label.
