🚨 Attention all of my wonderful clients 💇‍♀️💇‍♂️
For those who are new clients and don’t yet know, I volunteer over Winter as First Aid Officer for the local girls rugby team 🦅
Footy 🏉 season has begun which means my Saturday appointments are few and far between from now until mid September 📆
I have opened up some extra evening spaces and Sundays are still available.

When colour correcting it’s actually really important to still work with a client’s natural tone.

Jen’s hair is naturally a warmer tone when lightening. To change her to completely ash tone would look artificial, less natural, would be more maintenance long term and would likely age her.

Instead a mixture of finely weaved tones both warm and cool, some lighter and some with more depth, allowed for a natural “cooler” result that reflects Jen’s desire to blend her natural greys coming through.

A “root tap” blends the harsh demarcation lines that can occur with foiling techniques giving you a more blended, natural look as the foils grow out.

After some health issues kept this lovely lady away from the salon for quite a while it was time for a freshen up.

To maintain the health of the hair while it’s still recovering, we steered clear of the bleach and opted for a gentler lightening technique to match the honey/caramel ends.

Plus a light trim for healthy ends 🎉

The lovely Kim joined me for her first time at Alexander Place today.

The brief was ”I don’t like the colour I have now and my hair feels flat” 😆

Kim felt washed out and that her hair lacked depth. She likes her natural red hair but didn’t want Ronald McDonald.

We started with the haircut by adding some more face framing layers.

Colour we did some fresh blonde foils as well as added just a few darker chocolate foils to add variation around the front.

Colour was a medium beige blonde at the roots and a shade lighter on mid lengths and ends giving Kim a beautiful, natural, graduated colour effect.

The result…

Loads of depth and shine with her natural underlying red tones peeking through the new colour.
