Sprinkle by sprinkle.

Therapy looks different at The Place.

Sometimes it looks like cupcake decorating — choosing colours, exploring textures, sharing space, taking turns, and working together to create something sweet.

Underneath the sprinkles, we might be supporting food exploration, sensory processing, fine motor skills, planning, sequencing, communication, teamwork, flexibility, and confidence.

Food-based activities can be such a gentle way to build familiarity and curiosity around different textures, smells, colours, and sensations — without pressure.

Because sometimes therapy starts with one sprinkle, one brave try, and one shared moment at a time.

This is therapy, The Place way.

🌟🏠 Good humans wanted: our OT crew is growing

We’re growing — and we’re on the lookout for another awesome human who happens to be an amazing OT. 🧠✨

Whether you’re into sensory swings, rural outreach, teen groups, functional capacity assessments, playful early years, or real-life therapy that actually makes sense for families — we’ve got space for you to thrive.

Think flexibility, purpose, neuroaffirming practice, beautiful therapy spaces, and a team that genuinely gets it.

Little dino, big imagination.

Therapy looks different at The Place.

Sometimes it looks like a tiny dinosaur stomping, roaring, exploring, and taking the lead in play.

Underneath the fun, we might be supporting communication, confidence, movement, emotional regulation, pretend play, social connection, and flexible thinking.

Dress-ups can be such a powerful part of therapy — giving children a way to step into a story, try on brave ideas, express themselves, and connect through play.

Because sometimes the best therapy moments come with a little extra roar.

OT in bloom.

Therapy looks different at The Place.

Sometimes it looks like florals, creativity, and a very special family session — gently supporting co-regulation, connection, and shared moments of joy.

Underneath the flowers, we might be supporting emotional regulation, sensory exploration, fine motor skills, shared attention, communication, planning, and confidence.

But more than anything, this session was about connection — creating a safe, meaningful moment where family members could slow down, notice each other, and grow together.

Because sometimes therapy blooms in the little moments.

Where little stories begin…

Therapy looks different at The Place.

Sometimes it looks like a fairy picnic in the garden with OT Judy, and Speechie Frankie - where tiny cups, shared ideas, little characters and big imagination all come together.

Underneath the magic, we might be supporting communication, pretend play, turn-taking, fine motor skills, sensory exploration, planning, flexibility, shared attention and connection.

When OT and Speech work together, we can support the whole child — how they move, play, communicate, connect, regulate and participate.

Because sometimes the most meaningful therapy moments begin around a tiny fairy table in the garden.

Rolling into Monday like…
Speechie Holly being pulled through the therapy gym on a scooter board by a very determined little human.

Therapy looks different at The Place.

Sometimes it’s big play, big movement and real connection. It doesn’t always happen sitting at a table — because communication, confidence, regulation and participation can grow in the middle of laughter, movement and child-led play.

This week, we’ll be sharing a few little snapshots of what therapy can look like here: playful, purposeful, and sometimes a little unexpected.
