Kannon 観音, or Kannon Bosatsu, is the Japanese manifestation of Avalokiteshvara, the Mahayana Buddhist bodhisattva of compassion and mercy, widely revered as a protector against suffering. Often called the "Goddess of Mercy," Kannon is one of Japan's most popular deities.

The phoenix below represents immortality and renewal, while Kannon represents mercy and compassion. Together, they represent a harmonious blend of paradise and salvific power.

I’m a novice in the realm of Shugendô yet I’ve been a Bugeisha for 40 years. Always maintain the heart of Sanshin 三心 and be prepared to start from zero.

Shugendô and Budô are both austere paths of deep learning though direct experience.
Only those who walk these paths can understand. There are persons who intellectualise and talk about Dô, yet don’t actually physically practice. You must have the conviction and sincerity to walk the path and walk the talk. However, do those following a Dô, words become superfluous and unnecessary.
Action speaks louder and thus the person who follows a Dô speaks through their entire being.
