More information regarding the NDIS:

Belconnen Community Services (which is a registered provider with the NDIS) is registered, in part, to respond to the community's needs. At our NDIS information session last week, the benefits of Art Therapy were discussed. Unfortunately, Art Therapy is not an "approved" therapy, but music therapy is. If enough parents request Art Therapy, then the NDIA will have to look at the unfulfilled need and meet the need for Art Therapy. May be worth considering when looking at your plan.

Also, just as a gentle reminder, if you self-manage your money, then you could choose a non-registered service provider.

It would be appreciated if you would please tell as many parents as you can. Thanks!

A reminder that there will be another information session on the NDIS this Friday from 11am - 1pm. Last week's session was extremely worthwhile - we were able to ask all sorts of questions and share ideas with other parent as to therapy options.
