💙🐾Patient Spotlight: Brave Bowie 💙🐾

Meet Bowie, a 13-week-old pup who came to us with persistent regurgitation and sudden lethargy.

CT confirmed a Persistent Right Aortic Arch (PRAA) — a congenital condition where an abnormal blood vessel wraps around the esophagus, making it hard for food to pass.

Dr Angela Pantangco and Dr Sarah Goldsmid performed a thoracotomy and placed a chest drain. After two days in our dedicated Critical Care Unit, Bowie made a smooth recovery and is back to her happy, waggy self! 🐶❤️

💙 Meet Sola 💙

Sola was rushed to ARH Homebush after developing full-body tremors, profuse salivation, and becoming alarmingly distressed at home. When she arrived, her heart rate was extremely fast, blood pressure high, and she was trembling, cold, and salivating uncontrollably.

Our team acted fast — providing IV fluids, running blood tests, and administering medication to help control her tremors. Sola spent the night in our Critical Care Unit, where she was closely monitored by our dedicated vets and nurses.

By the next morning, Sola was a whole new dog! Her tremors and hypersalivation had resolved, her heart rate was back to normal, and she was once again her happy, tail-wagging self. 🐾💛

Patient Spotlight: Coco the Miracle Pup ✨

Coco came to us in critical condition after severe trauma from a dog fight — struggling to breathe and in shock.

He had extensive damage to his chest, abdomen, soft tissues and limb fractures, but with emergency surgery for an abdominal hernia repair and thoracic wound exploration, oxygen support, a blood transfusion, and round-the-clock care in our critical care unit, this brave boy pulled through.

Words can’t truly capture the heartbreak and challenges Coco and his family have endured. Coco’s recovery has been nothing short of amazing — he’s now home and healing beautifully! 🐶💖
