Being aware of how our thinking creates our reality. Awareness our is the first step in changing how we are being to allow in what you want.

You may be thinking how does this relate to me or my body?

Our body and mind are so connected and when we listen, we can open the doors to a whole new level of communication both for us and others.

How many times do you feel a pain or discomfort in your body and have no idea how it started ?

Let me give you an example.

I know when I get a sore throat it is usually because of a few things.

1. Haven’t said what I wanted to say and pushed down my voice.

2. I haven’t been heard or had the courage to share my thoughts.

Once I recognise what I wanted to say, I then voice what I wanted to say. If I am unable to say what I needed, I write my feelings down, to get the β€œdiscomfort” out of my head.

Nine times out of ten it works. I feel so much better, because I have acknowledged myself, even forgiven myself and see things from another perspective so I feel good!!

How does this relate to Massage Therapy....

Our thoughts, create our behaviour and then our experiences.
These thoughts, experiences affect our well being, and shows up in our physical and emotional body.

So.....

Do you watch and observe what is going on in your life and then not worry about it?
OR
Do you watch what is going on in your life and then become attached to your experience, to your goals, desires, needs, and wants?

I have thought about this a lot lately and what I have realized is that by purely observing how something is and then not placing any conditions or judgement on what I am observing, it creates a different response, a different energy if you like.

Whereas if I were to observe something and allow myself to hold onto, or attach, to the thought, scene or experience I have noticed it creates a quite different feel and result.

Observing, listening helps us to heal and grow.

You may think you have nothing to heal.

Yet have you thought about the emotions you push down or the voice you shutdown, the negative self-talk you buy into.

At some point these, thoughts, emotions, self-talk may get so loud that you can no longer hide from them.
Your only option is you must stop and listen.

Ways to stop and listen can come from unexpected interactions or experiences.

Like nature, animals, our pets.

We can learn so much from what is around us, from nature or our pets.
Nature allows us to feel and see things if we pay attention to its story.

Animals do the same.

They can be our best teachers.
Animals observe.
They listen and they feel.
Connect to the force within.

They sometimes mirror to us what it is we are feeling, to teach us what we need to learn.

So simple if we allow ourselves to feel, see and hear all that is around us.

I asked this to a client recently and her answer was, β€œyes of course.”
Was I surprised? Not at all.

Whether you have a pet or not, if you are like me , you care more about other people, care more about your pet than you do yourself.

Looking after ourselves, loving ourselves helps us heal, reduce stress, and live a more enjoyable life.

Our animals respond to how we are feeling. As sentient beings they pick up on our energy and reflect to us what it is we may need to learn or heal.

Our environment teaches us things as do our animals.
If you’re like me you have heard this a million times and have gone yeah, yeah, yeah.

Recently I was invited to a dog training session with a dog behavourial therapist and that is where his comment …”Dogs reflect back to you what is going on in your life,” hit home.

The dog trainer, I will call him Archie, was helping a family manage the behaviour of their gorgeous border collie, who I will name Magda ,who thought she owned the house and the people.

Archie’s analogy was that the dog was the manager or CEO of the house and the people were the employees and her role as CEO was to manage the employees keep them together and control them.

What Magda really wanted was for things to be the other way round, so she could feel comfortable and more relaxed i.e.., for Magda to be the employee and the people to be the CEO because for good behaviour dogs need certainty.

Certainty is something we all want and need in some way, shape or form.

We create problems to meet our needs.

It maybe you have so much certainty in your life...

You drive the same way to work every day, your work is the same, you come home relax, eat, go to bed and get up and do the same again the next day. The routine and certainty are so familiar, comfortable that you may crave a little variety, so you create drama to get variety or uncertainty.

Creating rituals, doing something we love or even learning something new can move us forward in certainty.

So, I float the question what is life telling you?

My Story

Hi, I became interested in massage in 2004 and developed a particular interest in Myofascial Release Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy and Polarity using Remedial Massage as its backdrop. Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Therapy and Polarity work well together in allowing the body to heal at its own pace, in its own rhythm and at a level that is not immediately felt or noticed. It maybe felt at a deeper unconcious level and and this may take time to process. The mind and body is an amazing thing. Whether you are aware of it or not it will tell you what it is that you want and if you listen and with your heart it will carry you to what you need and where you need to be.

These techniques when coupled with Personal Development Coaching can have a profound affect and in doing so bring more clarity to all aspects of your life internally and externally. By that I mean what is happening for you and to what is happening around you. Personal Development Coaching is about changing your mindset and empowering you to be the best person you can be. How do your beliefs and values reflect your life experience? Are you living them? If you are willing to change, create a shift and welcome in a new possibilities to take action, to move forward to be the best you, how amazing would that be to create something, be someone you didn’t think was possible.
