Unlike those flaky dates, your cervical screen is reliable, straightforward, and actually has your best interests at heart. ❤️

The cervical screening test doesn’t send mixed signals and definitely won’t leave you on read. 💬

It's recommended you book an appointment for a cervical screen every 5 years if you're:
👉 aged between 25 and 74
👉 a woman or a person with a cervix
👉 sexually active (or ever have been).

Cervical screening is important even if you have been vaccinated against HPV or are not currently sexually active. It's a date worth keeping.

You can have your GP or other healthcare provider complete the test or you can collect your own sample. Both choices are equally accurate and safe. 🥰

February marks Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. Each year in Australia, around 1,815 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer.

Ovarian cancer is a rare form of cancer that affects the ovaries and is classified as a gynaecological cancer. It’s more common in women over the age of 65.

In many cases, ovarian cancer is diagnosed at an advanced stage, making it much harder to treat. That’s why it's important to raise awareness about ovarian cancer and stay informed of its early symptoms.

From 3 February 2025, pregnant women will be offered a free Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) vaccine to protect their newborns.

RSV can cause serious illness in newborn babies. It is recommended that pregnant women receive the vaccine at 28 weeks in pregnancy with the whooping cough (pertussis) vaccine, but it can be given anytime between 28 and 36 weeks.

Vaccines given in pregnancy will help your baby off to a healthy start in life.
