Our regular picnics organised by our Berlasco’s Lifestyle Team, including yesterday's outing, highlight just how important it is for our residents to get out and enjoy some fresh air. yesterday, we even got enough time to grab a coffee on our way. ☕️

These simple but meaningful experiences support mental wellbeing, encourage social connection, and help maintain the independence of our residents.

Meanwhile, at Berlasco Residential Aged Care, residents were also delighted by a wonderful group of ladies who showcased a beautiful collection of authentic vintage clothing, ranging from the roaring 1920s through to the 1980s. We called it our Nostalgia Fashion Parade, and it truly lived up to its name!

A big thank you to Fuzzy and the Berlasco Lifestyle Team for the fantastic work you do in creating such engaging and meaningful experiences for our residents.

🧘‍♀️Earlier this morning, our residents joyfully participated in a gentle exercise session, a refreshing and energising way to kick off the week!
It was truly a great start to Monday, filled with movement, smiles, and positive vibes.

Social activities are very important in aged care. They promote wellbeing, reduce isolation, enhance existing bonds, and strengthen our sense of community.

ECCQ - Ethnic Communities Council of Queensland's residential facility Berlasco Court was pleased to see our residents at enjoying today’s BBQ, socialising with each other and connecting with staff.

Seeing the smiles and laughter today was a great reminder of why these moments matter❤️

At Berlasco, we remain committed to maximising outcomes for our residents and creating meaningful opportunities for connection and enjoyment.

On Friday the 27th of June, Berlasco residents and staff celebrated a BBQ Day. Thanks to everyone who came along and enjoyed each other's company. A special thanks to Chef and Terry for their efforts in cooking and serving.

March 25th marked the day of Greek Independence. Our lovely residents, with the help of Lifestyle team member, Katina Karas, got together to celebrate with some Greek Cooking. Spanakopita. Meaning a Spinach Pie. Features Spinach and Feta cheese, wrapped in a Filo pastry. A delicious treat enjoyed by many people around the world.

Dear Residents and Families,

We hope this message finds you well. As you are aware, Cyclone Alfred is currently approaching our region, and we want to reassure you that Berlasco Court is taking all necessary precautions to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our residents during this time.

In response to the cyclone, we have increased our team cover to ensure that there are enough staff members available around the clock. This will enable us to provide continuous support and care to our residents, should the weather conditions worsen.

Additionally, we have proactively ordered extra food, water, and medication supplies to ensure that we are fully prepared in the event of any disruptions to services. Our priority is to ensure that all residents have access to the care, comfort, and nourishment they need throughout the cyclone.

We have also tested our generators and all functional components of our emergency systems to ensure they are in optimal working condition. This will allow us to continue providing essential services in the event of power outages or other disruptions.

We understand that this situation may be unsettling, and we want to assure you that we are monitoring the situation closely and will continue to take appropriate actions to keep everyone safe. Our team is trained and equipped to handle all aspects of emergency care, and we are committed to providing the highest level of support throughout this event.
