Ever been told your orthotics need to be hard?
They really don’t.

It all comes down to material choice, so in this video we’ll look at polypropylene alongside our Inner Arch EVA and TPU to show what options are available.

It’s a quick look at why the right material matters more than the myth.

And yes — for Christmas, our Tinsel-Red TPU is available in a limited run.
If you want details, give us a call!

I was recently asked why orthotics have to be hard. They don’t. It all comes down to material choice, so in this video we’ll look at polypropylene alongside ...

🦶 𝐏𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 – 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟕: 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 — 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐖𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐖𝐞 𝐃𝐨

It’s been a big week. We’ve covered everything from calluses to complex biomechanics, lasers to ligaments, and blood flow to balance. If nothing else, this Podiatry Week has shown that podiatry is far more than just “cutting toenails” — it’s a blend of science, craftsmanship, and a little bit of art.

What We’ve Learnt This Week
• 𝑫𝒂𝒚 1: Nail and skin care are about more than comfort — they’re about health, mobility, and confidence.
• 𝑫𝒂𝒚 2: Biomechanics is where science meets movement; where we test, measure, and hypothesise to understand how your body works from the ground up.
• 𝑫𝒂𝒚 3: With Shockwave, Laser, and Inner Arch Orthotics, we take theory into practice — turning diagnosis into results.
• 𝑫𝒂𝒚 4: Neurovascular assessments remind us that the feet are the window to your circulatory and nervous systems — and that prevention is always better than cure.
• 𝑫𝒂𝒚 5: Nail surgery, done well, is simple, elegant, and effective (and with the Comfort-In injector, surprisingly comfortable too).
• 𝑫𝒂𝒚 6: Pain treatment isn’t about “just rest it” — it’s about smart, evidence-based strategies that help you move freely again.

Through it all, one truth remains: podiatry changes lives. Sometimes subtly, sometimes profoundly.

𝐀 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲

Podiatry is a wonderfully quirky field. We get to combine analytical thinking with hands-on problem-solving — part scientist, part craftsman, part detective.

We study forces, anatomy, and pathology, yet spend our days helping real people feel and function better. It’s deeply human work, and that’s what makes it special.

Every foot tells a story — of movement, history, and habit. Our role is to listen carefully, interpret the signs, and help that story continue with less pain and more confidence.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐝

Here at Silver Podiatry, we’ve built our reputation on that balance of science and care.

We don’t outsource orthotics to someone who’s never met you — we design and craft them in-house through Inner Arch Orthotics, right here in Inglewood. We use the latest tools — from lasers to shockwave — but never lose sight of the human behind the heel pain.

It’s a philosophy that’s earned recognition along the way — including the 2023 Allied Health Podiatrist of the Year award for our founder, Elan Silver (who wrote this post, so he can say whatever he likes). But the real reward is watching people walk out of our clinic lighter, freer, and smiling again.

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐖𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧
Because every day, we see the difference mobility makes. The patient who can finally run again. The diabetic who’s avoided a wound. The parent who can chase their kids without pain.

That’s the beauty of podiatry — it’s practical, powerful, and quietly transformative.

👣 So here’s to the feet that carry us, the science that guides us, and the podiatrists who keep Australia moving — one step at a time.

If you’ve ever been told to “just rest it” when your heel, ankle, or forefoot feels like it’s gone rogue — you’ll know how useless that advice feels.

At 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐲, we think pain deserves more than a shrug and a Panadol. It deserves a plan, a purpose, and a podiatrist who actually knows what they’re doing.

𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐮𝐳𝐳𝐥𝐞

Pain isn’t just a symptom; it’s a signal — and one that can tell us a lot about what’s going wrong beneath the surface. It may be localised or referred from a distant location, and it sometimes takes a bit of detective work to find the real culprit.
Whether it’s the dull ache of plantar fasciitis, the sharp sting of a nerve entrapment, or that bone-deep throb of arthritis, our first step is always the same: figure out why.

And yes — sometimes you just want instant relief, no matter the cause. We may be able to help you without amputation (which has a 100% success rate)... but don’t quote us on that.

𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 – 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐆𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤

At Silver Podiatry, we take a multi-layered approach to pain — using proven, evidence-based techniques that help your body heal, not just cope. And sometimes, we make it up without any evidence, just because it seems like a good idea (well, common sense). (Your body, after all, didn’t read the textbook.)

Because no single treatment works for everyone, we mix and match methods based on what your body actually needs — not what a protocol says it should.

𝑯𝒆𝒓𝒆’𝒔 𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝒘𝒆 𝒅𝒐 𝒊𝒕:
• 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗽𝘆 – a regenerative injection technique that stimulates your body’s natural healing response. Brilliant for chronic ligament and tendon pain that’s overstayed its welcome. This is our go to for immediate pain relief as local anaesthetic is mixed in to it – numb straight away, pain-free straight away.
• 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗰𝗸𝘄𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗽𝘆 – high-energy acoustic pulses that trigger tissue repair, increase blood flow, and break the pain cycle. Science doing what Panadol can’t.
• 𝗕𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗽𝘆 – non-invasive, reduces inflammation, accelerates healing, and eases pain at the cellular level. This is one of the most powerful and penetrating therapeutic lasers on the market… and we’re not afraid to use it!
• 𝗗𝗿𝘆 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 – perfect for those tight, overworked muscles that just won’t switch off - we target specific trigger points to release tension and improve circulation.
• 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝘁 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗽𝘆 (𝗙𝗠𝗧) – one of my personal interests, thanks to a degree in chiropractic. “Gentle” joint techniques (snap crackle pop) that restore movement and relieve mechanical stress.
• 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 – simple but powerful. Targeted taping to offload, realign, and support problem areas while you heal. A great way to temporarily test support, and we teach you how to do it yourself.
• 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗢𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘀 – when foot mechanics are part of the problem, we include orthotic support as part of your overall treatment plan — not as the only solution.
• 𝗥𝗲𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 – sometimes the best medicine is movement. We’ll guide you through rebuilding strength safely and effectively. Do not underestimate muscle balance!
• 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 – shoes can make or break recovery. We check that your footwear is working with you, not against you.

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐈𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬

Pain changes everything. It stops you from moving, makes you cautious, and slowly chips away at your confidence.

Before you know it — you’re doing less, moving less, and wondering where your fitness (and patience) went.

Our job is to stop that slide. To get you walking, running, or dancing again — without that constant reminder that something’s wrong.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲

Pain is complex, but treatment doesn’t have to be. Please don’t feel the need to just “live with it.”

We’ve seen just about every type of foot pain imaginable — and we’ve helped people walk out feeling better than they thought possible.

At 𝑺𝒊𝒍𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝑷𝒐𝒅𝒊𝒂𝒕𝒓𝒚, we don’t just mask symptoms — we find the cause, fix it, and help you move through life comfortably and confidently.
👣 Because when your feet feel better, everything else does too.

Because you shouldn’t have to live with nail pain.

Ingrown nails might be small, but they sure know how to reassess your pain threshold.
They throb, swell, and somehow make even a bedsheet feel like a boulder.

When simple care isn’t enough — and we 𝑎𝑙𝑤𝑎𝑦𝑠 try conservative treatment within reason first — nail surgery can offer lasting relief.
At 𝑺𝒊𝒍𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝑷𝒐𝒅𝒊𝒂𝒕𝒓𝒚, we make the experience as smooth, calm, and drama-free as possible.

𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞?

If your nail keeps growing into the skin, becomes infected, or just refuses to behave, surgery may be the best way forward.
We start by assessing the nail’s shape, surrounding tissue, and any underlying causes — like footwear pressure or nail trauma.

If conservative care won’t solve it, we fix the root of the problem — literally.

𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭-𝐢𝐧: 𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤

No one loves needles. Frankly, neither do we.

That’s why we use 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒕-𝒊𝒏, a needle-free injector that delivers local anaesthetic using gentle pressure instead of a needle. Interested? We can show you a video of it in action – just ask below in the comments.

Fast, effective, and almost sting-free — most patients can’t believe it’s over until it’s over.

𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

Depending on your needs, we offer:
• 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗻𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘆 – to remove the painful section and prevent it from growing back. Quite often the nail will appear the same as it did before – we only remove the offending part.
• 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘆 – when the entire nail is beyond saving (rare, but sometimes necessary). The nail bed will form a normal skin and feel comfortable.
Both are performed under sterile conditions, with precision, care… and yes, numbness.

But our care doesn’t end there.
We also offer:
• 𝗞𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗙𝗹𝗲𝘅 𝗡𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 – to rebuild and restore damaged or missing nails using a natural-looking, medical-grade composite that flexes like a real nail.
• 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗙𝗶𝘅 𝗡𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 – a gentle, non-surgical technique to correct curved or ingrown nails and help prevent recurrence.

Whether you need to remove a problem nail or restore a damaged one, we’ve got every angle covered — from function to finish.

𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲, 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐟

Most patients walk comfortably within days.

With good aftercare and our guidance, healing is smooth — leaving you pain-free and back to normal life fast.
And yes, still better than an amputation.

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐲?

Because experience matters.

We perform these procedures routinely, with meticulous technique, the latest comfort technology, and a calm, steady approach that patients trust.

Add in our restorative options like KeryFlex and BracenFix, and you’ll understand why patients often say, “I wish I’d done that sooner.”

𝐈𝐧 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭:

Nail surgery doesn’t have to be scary — or dramatic.

At Silver Podiatry, we make it gentle, effective, and surprisingly easy.

Your feet can tell us a lot about what’s going on inside your body — how your blood’s flowing, how your nerves are functioning, and even how your heart’s coping.
At Silver Podiatry, our neurovascular assessments help us listen to those hidden messages.
It’s about early detection, prevention, and keeping you safely on your feet for years to come.
Because your feet aren’t just at the end of your legs — they’re at the heart of your health (stop calling me the Foot Dentist!). 👣

🔴 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

Good blood flow keeps your tissues alive, your wounds healing, and your feet warm. When it slows down, small problems can turn serious — especially if you have 𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐬 or 𝐯𝐚𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞. We also pay attention to swollen ankles, splotchy skin and purple toes.
We use 𝐃𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 to both look and listen to your blood flow — yes, you can actually hear it!
We also have an incredibly sensitive system that measures blood pressure right to the 𝐭𝐢𝐩 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐨𝐞, giving us a detailed picture of how well your circulation is working.

⚡ 𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐬

Your nerves, the longest in the body, are like the body’s electrical wiring, carrying information back and forth.

We check the three main functions that keep your feet feeling and moving well:
• 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 — how your nerves detect touch and pressure.
• 𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 — how your muscles respond and move.
• 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 — how your body regulates things like sweating and skin temperature.

It’s simple, painless testing (if you behave) — but it gives us incredibly valuable information about how your nervous system is performing. We charge extra for pain: $5 for a yelp, $10 for a scream (it’s bad for business, you see).

💡 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬

Circulation and nerve problems often creep in quietly — until there’s pain, numbness, or a wound that won’t heal, or a smurf-like toe.

A simple neurovascular assessment can:
✅ Get a baseline of the here-and-now
✅ Detect problems early
✅ Prevent complications
✅ Guide treatment with your GP or specialist
✅ Protect your long-term mobility

Over the years, we’ve even detected cardiac issues during these assessments — findings that have led to timely intervention and, in a few cases, may well have saved lives.

👣 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞

We don’t just run tests and hand over numbers.
We take the time to explain what those results mean for you — your health, your lifestyle, and your future mobility.
It’s personal, not procedural.
Our goal is to make sure you walk away feeling informed, reassured, and confident about your next steps.

📞 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲

If you have diabetes, poor circulation, or tingling, numbness or burning in your feet — book a neurovascular assessment at Silver Podiatry, Inglewood.
It’s quick, painless, and could make all the difference for your long-term health.

𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐎𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬: 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐚 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐨 𝐢𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫

Inner Arch Orthotics started because we wanted better control — over the design, the fit, and the outcomes.
Too often, “custom” orthotics are just tweaked library versions, made somewhere far away by someone who’s never seen the foot they’re meant for.

That didn’t sit right with us.

So, we built 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐎𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 to make orthotics that are true to the foot, not just close enough.
Each pair is designed and fabricated right here in-house — tailored to your biomechanics, your footwear, and your activity level.

We fabricate using EVA (rubbery) and 3D-printed TPU (space-agey), balancing flexibility, comfort, and precision. And because they’re made on-site, there’s no waiting weeks for comfort.

Every pair is 𝐓𝐆𝐀-𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 and designed by a podiatrist who understands your gait from start to finish (that’d be me).
These aren’t “just orthotics.” They’re engineered supports that actually work — because we make them, test them, and refine them until they do. Because sometimes even I get it wrong.

The 𝐁𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐫 uses concentrated light energy to reduce inflammation, increase circulation, and accelerate tissue repair.
In simpler terms: it helps painful areas heal faster and hurt less.

It’s really, really powerful — and when combined with other treatments, it’s like rehab with a turbo button.
No downtime. No drama. No needles (but in fairness, we do that too). Just science doing what it does best. (You may glow in the dark later. Probably.)

𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐰𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐲: 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 𝐚 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥-𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐣𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫

Think of 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐰𝐚𝐯𝐞 therapy as your body’s reset button.
It delivers acoustic pulses (boombooms!) deep into tissue, stimulating blood flow, breaking down scar tissue, and jump-starting healing in stubborn injuries.
Perfect for chronic heel pain, Achilles tendinopathy, and plantar fasciitis that just won’t quit.

It’s fast, non-invasive, and backed by research — because the only thing worse than foot pain is having to live with it. Or a toothache. They hurt as well.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞
Some clinics send your orthotics away to a lab or refer you elsewhere for the “fancy” stuff.
We don’t. Everything happens here — assessment, treatment, fabrication, follow-up.

That means:
✅ Faster turnaround
✅ Tighter quality control
✅ Better outcomes

It’s efficient, hands-on, and personal. Exactly how healthcare should be.

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬

If you’ve ever wondered why one knee hurts when the other doesn’t, or why your feet ache after standing all day — the answer often lies in how you move.

Your body is an interconnected machine, and your feet are the foundation. When something’s off balance, it doesn’t just affect your gait — it can trigger a cascade of pain through your ankles, knees, hips, and even your lower back.

That’s where biomechanics comes in. At Silver Podiatry, biomechanics isn’t just a buzzword — it’s how we decode the way you move, and how we fix the things that stop you moving comfortably.

We are the 𝘍𝘰𝘰𝘵 𝘞𝘩𝘪𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘳𝘴. Shhhhhh…
________________________________________

𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐨𝐧𝐞: 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐢𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭

It starts with a deep dive into you — your medical history, activity levels, footwear, and how your feet function through each stage of movement.

We’ll watch you walk, stand, and sometimes perform a few movements that reveal how your muscles and joints are really behaving (don’t worry, no interpretive dance required)(unless you want to).

Then we test theories:
• Is a joint not moving enough? Is it moving to much?
• Where are your feet now, and where do they need to be?
• Is that “flat foot” actually your body compensating for tight calves?
• Are you a ‘forefooter’? (One of my favourites!)
Each answer helps us pinpoint the why behind your pain, not just the where.

𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐲 — 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠

Once we’ve figured out what’s not pulling its (your) weight, we test our theories in real time.

A bit of strapping here, corrective padding in your shoes, a targeted stretch there, maybe a strengthening routine for the muscles that have gone on strike.

If you walk out feeling better immediately, that’s our confirmation — we’re on the right track.

It’s science meets detective work, with a dose of human insight.

𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐬, 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬

Sometimes it’s not about high-tech gadgets — it’s about attention. See the dots; now connect them.

Correcting the way one joint moves can stop a chain reaction of pain and fatigue elsewhere.

Patients are often surprised at how “minor” changes (like calf stretches or new movement patterns) can completely transform how they walk, run, or stand.

Biomechanics is about finding the smallest adjustment that delivers the biggest improvement — and that’s something we do every day.

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮

Your gait and posture don’t just affect comfort — they affect performance, injury risk, and long-term health. Whether you’re a tradie, a teacher, or a weekend athlete, good biomechanics means fewer injuries and more energy left at the end of the day.
And before you ask — no, there’s no “perfect” way to walk. But there is a way that works best for your body, and we’re here to find it.

𝐈𝐧 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭…

Pain isn’t random — it’s usually mechanical.
We assess, test, and treat so your body can do what it’s meant to do: move freely, efficiently, and without complaint.
At Silver Podiatry, biomechanics isn’t theory — it’s practice. And it’s how we help you walk, run, and live better.
And the Big Guns? Wait until Biomechanics Part 2.
