Changed Traffic Conditions
From 6am-8.45am on Saturday, September 20, 2025, the UP lane of the Kuranda Range (Kennedy Highway) will be closed to enable cyclists in the QSuper Cardiac Challenge, to safely traverse the range.
The Far North Queensland Hospital Foundation has obtained a permit for the one-lane road closure from Canopy's Edge Smithfield to Rainforestation, Kuranda.
Any cyclist who has not been able to reach the top of the Range by 8am, will be uploaded into a vehicle
All emergency vehicles will be able to traverse the Range in either direction if required, during the closure.

Thanks to our incredible community support, we've recently been able to buy lots of amazing equipment supporting various areas of our hospital.
Donations, bequests, cent sales, golf days, sponsorship, raffles - it all adds up to helping us do more.
