What an incredible weekend at the Australian Kart Championship at ipswichkartclub! The racing across all classes was next level and it was great to see so many drivers out there giving it everything on track.

The rain arrived on the final day and turned the last races into slippery havoc, but every driver that managed to keep it on track and make it across the finish line should be extremely proud of themselves. The conditions were tough and the driving standards were impressive to watch.

A huge thank you again to all the medics for their hard work throughout the weekend and to Ipswich Kart Club for having us. We appreciate the support and look forward to the next one!

Day 2…. Today we were right in the middle of the action, ensuring the safety of all drivers and crews throughout an exciting day of racing.
Overall, it was a successful day with only 1 significant incident occurring. Our thoughts are with the driver from Thailand who was competing alongside Australia’s champions today, and we wish them a speedy recovery.
A huge credit to all officials, teams, and medical crews for their teamwork and professionalism throughout the day.
Back tomorrow for the final day — looking forward to another great day of racing at the track! 🏁🚑

🚨 WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THERE’S AN INCIDENT ON TRACK?

1. Incident Occurs
Race Control identifies the situation and immediately alerts Medical.

2. Medical on Standby
We are directed to a location (e.g. Turn 2) and begin moving into position.

3. Awaiting Clearance
Before entering the track, we MUST receive permission from Race Control.
This ensures the track is safe—no moving karts, no secondary risks.

4. Scene Access
Once cleared, we enter quickly and safely to assess and treat the driver.

5. Care & Extraction
We provide immediate medical care and coordinate safe removal if required.

⚠️ IMPORTANT FOR SPECTATORS & TEAMS
In those high-pressure moments, emotions run high—we understand that.
But please remember:

👉 Yelling or pressuring medical staff will NOT speed up our response
👉 We operate strictly under Race Control direction for everyone’s safety
👉 Our team is trained, focused, and acting as fast as safely possible
