I’ve finished the run with the best ever support crew ♥️🙏
My first ultra trail running race (50km) and what an experience 🤩

I have been volunteering for this race for the last 4 years to raise funds for Snowy Brumby Horsemanship and I loved it so much, that I decided to run 50 for my 50th Birthday 🎂 Why not 😆

18 km into the race, I was flying, so I thought 🙈 I fell on the last cheese grater (steel on path) before Bullocks Flat. Oh the pain!

A big thank you to the other competitors (one female and one male) who stopped and picked me up, off the cheese grater,
I was in shock, couldn’t move, was wounded and cried 😭
Thank you from the bottom of my heart🙏♥️

As soon they helped me up, I knew I am going to finish the race.
I promised the nurse to get stitches after the race. And off I went… very slow and in pain and in tears.

So many runners past me, but I kept moving. I thought, I will never finish in 8 hours.
Well, as long as I finish so I thought.

And I did 🤗 I just wanted to show my kids, what we can do, and how strong our minds are. Deep down I know, my boys are very proud of me. Funny enough, Michael mentioned already, that he wants to run the next 50km race with me 🥰🤩🙌♥️
