🏮 Gōng Xǐ Fā Cái 🏮

This Lunar New Year welcomes the energy of the Yang Fire Horse (丙午)… a year of movement, heart expansion and powerful transformation.

In Chinese Medicine, Fire governs the Heart - our joy, connection, spirit (Shen), and consciousness.
The Horse brings momentum, freedom and forward motion.

From a TCM perspective, it will be especially important to:

🌿 Nourish Heart Blood and Yin
🌿 Protect your nervous system
🌿 Support Kidney Water to anchor Fire
🌿 Prioritise rest and grounding practices
🌿 Create space for joy without depletion.

This year invites us to:
🎋 Follow what lights us up
🎋 Speak from the heart
🎋 But stay rooted in calm and clarity

The Yang Fire Horse is bold… but true strength comes from balance 🔥🐎☯️

May 2026 be a year of aligned action and steady inner warmth.

Blessings,
Nat ❤️

Summer in TCM is ruled by the Heart…
joy, connection, expansion and spirit.

Fire element vitality feels like:
✨ deep sleep
✨ easy laughter
✨ clear mind
✨ warm connection

But if we’ve overextended, we might feel:
🔥 restless
🔥 wired but tired
🔥 emotionally scattered
🔥 flat or disconnected

As we transition toward Late Summer (Earth element), the energy shifts.
We move from outward expansion… to being more centred.

To support the transition from Summer to Late Summer, and prepare the body for Autumn, we begin embracing Earth element rituals (Spleen/Stomach support).

🌼 Earlier nights
🌼 Less outward stimulation
🌼 Adding light, hydrating foods (pear, cucumber, broths)
🌼 Slowly reintroduce more cooked, grounding meals
🌼 Hydrating teas like chrysanthemum, rose, or lemon balm and mineral-rich water with electrolytes
🌼 Movement that feels supportive, not depleting
🌼 Supportive acupuncture and/or herbs for the season and your ailments

Fire doesn’t need to burn out. We can use Earth to anchor and sustain us.

Let your spirit settle and your energy soften. Optimal health and vitality comes from embracing the transition.

🔥❤️

Just a reminder that clinic hours are a bit sporadic at the moment.

Nat is still ramping up to her 4 days and is juggling short shifts across the week and it’s a little bit inconsistent.

Best places to stay in touch are email or text messages. 🤗

Every morning for nearly 9 years, we set this space with intention. 💛

A ritual of calm, balance, and flow - so you can arrive, exhale, and honour the sacred time you’ve carved out to heal ✨🌸

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, breast health is closely linked to the smooth flow of Qi, Blood and emotions, particularly through the Liver and Heart systems.

When giving consistently outweighs receiving, whether physically, emotionally, or energetically - the body can lose its ability to circulate, nourish and restore. Over time, imbalance shows up.

This understanding is one of the reasons I’m making important changes at Radiant Chi.

By the end of this month, all contractor arrangements will be finishing so I can focus more fully on my patients and my own health. I’ll also be moving into a smaller premises that better supports my individual needs once the current space sells.

My clinic shifts are now shorter, patient numbers are reduced, and appointments are intentionally slower. I encourage patients to book and plan ahead.

My updated pricing reflects a deeper level of care. Sessions now include more time, a calmer pace, and therapeutic red light therapy panels as standard - a modality I’ve come to deeply value for its regenerative, anti-inflammatory and circulatory benefits alongside acupuncture. This has become part of my standard of care, not an add-on.

These changes allow me to work with greater presence, intention and sustainability - offering more to each patient, not less.

I hope this new rhythm serves both my patients and my health, and I look forward to caring for you from this steadier, more grounded place.

See you real soon - Nat ❤️

Breakfast homemade pho vibes! So much nourishing goodness in making bone broths from scratch. My bone broths now encompass cinnamon, star anise and cloves during cooking (as well as this time some fish sauce as it was pho) - so I need to update my blog recipe on the website...
but anytime digestion is slow, healing is required or your are just doing too much, easy to digest nutrient dense warm foods are where we need to focus even more intentionally! Feel free to ask me any tips when you see me in the clinic 👌🏼❤️😋

Lunch happiness - I love my bruschetta mix with feta on pan fried zucchini - just another hack to skip the processed bread and it’s a warm digestion friendly lunch ✨

✨ Bruschetta Mix
🌿 Basil - warms and moves Qi, supports digestion, balances cooling foods
🍅 Tomato - nourishes Yin, generates fluids, gently cools the Blood
🧅 Purple onion - moves Liver Qi, reduces stagnation, supports circulation
🫒 Olive oil - moistens dryness, nourishes Yin, supports the intestines
S&P

💚 Zucchini - clears Heat, drains Damp, light and cooling for digestion

You can def also add some balsamic vinegar too - I do that some days but not today. I love this warm but light lunch that supports digestion but also cools heat gently and moves the qi 🌸😋

Only a couple more days left with Dan next week 🥲 A big farewell and thank you as he finishes up at Radiant Chi 🤍

Dan stepped in during a time when I needed support, and he has cared for this community with thoughtfulness, skill, and a genuine heart. His presence made it possible for me to step back when my health required it, and for that I am deeply grateful.

I also want to acknowledge Dan’s professionalism, commitment to patient care, and the depth he brings to healthcare. He has been a valued part of the clinic during this chapter.

Thank you also for the care you offered me personally during a very challenging time, it meant more than you know! ❤️‍🩹

Wishing you all the very best for what comes next 🗺️🧭

~ Nat 🤗

Two weeks to go until I’m back in clinic 🤍

I’m so looking forward to reconnecting and supporting you with your health, with a deeper layer of understanding and care as I return to practice.

To allow a steady transition, I’ll be working:
• Tuesday to Thursday
• Alternating Mondays and Saturdays

Spaces will be limited at first, as I won’t be doing 4 days for the first couple weeks, so booking ahead will be important. 📅✅

Thank you for your patience and support, I am really looking forward to seeing you again ✨🌸 Nat x

Did you see the US released the new US food pyramid - it is an interesting shift from the original model many of us grew up with here in Australia (I wonder if we see a change in ours here?)

The old pyramid placed grains at the foundation - which, intentionally or not, encouraged a huge rise in packaged and highly processed grain and maize-based foods, often with added sugars.

This newer version feels more aligned with whole foods rather than food products - which personally aligns with my values and Chinese Medicine philosophy.

I’m curious… what are your thoughts on this change, and do you think food guidelines actually influence the choices we make day to day? 🤔

Nourish ~ Preserve ~ Protect

Traditional Chinese medicine is an holistic primary health care system which has been practiced for over 2500 years. At Radiant Chi we focus on nurturing life using ancient Chinese wisdom, to maintain the balance between yin and yang and support the body, mind and spirit.

Chinese medicines roots stem from Daoist philosophies that suggest that everything in the universe is part of an unbroken whole, where life arises from the interplay of opposites (Yin and Yang) and we can have a life of health and prosperity by observing nature and its natural cycles. When our bodies are in harmony with our surroundings, we are healthy and there is an abundant supply of qi (pronounced chee/chi), which is our life force or energy that runs through an unseen network of meridians across the body. If the flow of qi becomes depleted or blocked the body fails to maintain harmony or balance and then disease and illness follows.

Chinese medicine is not only used for treating disharmony in the body (disease) but was historically used for prevention over cure.

Our goal at Radiant Chi is to promote wellness for the whole family. We care about helping all our patients reach their full potential, with optimal health in their demanding modern lifestyles. By finding balance of the mind, body and spirit, it allows individuals to be more present and calm for their families and the other aspects of their lives, which lead to healthier and happier adults and better communities.
