Hi, I am Danielle, the founder of ThRive, a leisure and recreation based allied health business servicing the Greater Western area of Sydney, NSW.

Welcome to ThRive, where leisure and recreation meets ability, independence and life satisfaction.

-Working with Children Check I have a passion for using leisure and recreation to improve physical, cognitive, social, spiritual and emotional health and wellbeing. As a highly experienced Recreational Therapist with over 14 years experience in the aged care sector, I am qualified to provide support to all ages, abilities and stages of life. I have a Bachelor of Health Science majoring in Therapeutic Recreation and Health Service Management and have my national certification in the Montessori method. I very much look forward to meeting our clients to support the journey to optimal health and wellbeing.

🎉✨ ThRive is officially 2 years old! ✨🎉

I honestly can’t believe it’s been two whole years of sharing cuddles, connection, music and movement with so many beautiful people in our community.

From heartfelt pet therapy visits to our joyful Jam & Jive sessions, every smile, every sing-along, every gentle pat of a furry friend has meant the world to me. 🐾🎶

I feel so incredibly grateful to the aged care homes who trust us, the families who welcome us, and the residents who light up our sessions with their stories, laughter and love. You are the reason ThRive exists.

To my amazing therapy dogs (the real stars 🐶💛) — thank you for bringing comfort, calm and happiness wherever you go.

Two years of purpose, passion and paws… and we’re only just getting started.

Here’s to many more moments of connection, music and magic.

The stars of ThRive clearly decided that waiting was overrated 🎄🐾

Left to their own devices for two whole minutes, they took matters into their own paws and opened their Christmas pressies themselves. On my return, the scene was pure festive chaos — wrapping paper everywhere, dog toys scattered across the floor, and two very proud pups happily munching on their pigs ear treats, looking extremely pleased with themselves.

Zero regrets.
Zero patience.

🎄🐾 Merry Christmas from ThRive! 🐾🎄

As the year comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting on what an incredibly special year it’s been with Pet Therapy and Jam & Jive 🐶🎶

So many moments stand out — gentle pats and cuddles, quiet companionship, meaningful conversations, laughter, movement and music. These simple but powerful experiences continue to remind me just how much connection, joy and comfort animals and shared activities can bring.

Watching Bowie and Bandit bring smiles, calm and engagement into so many spaces has been a real privilege. I feel deeply grateful to be able to do this work and to share it alongside such caring, supportive communities.

I’m incredibly proud of what this year has held and am already looking forward to what next year will bring — more connection, more joy, and more meaningful moments through ThRive ✨💛

🐾 Exciting News!!! We've Got a New Buddy! 🐾

We are absolutely thrilled to introduce the newest (and furriest!) member of our pet therapy team... BUDDY! 🐶💙

Buddy is a 16-week-old Labradoodle with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging. Don’t let his age fool you — this clever pup is already nailing his basic commands and showing incredible potential as a future therapy superstar!

We're so excited to expand our team so we can bring even more joy, connection, and cuddles to aged care homes across the region. With Buddy joining Bowie, we’ll be able to share the magic of animal-assisted therapy with more residents than ever before.

Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Buddy – we can’t wait for you to meet him! 🐾💛
