We had a really fantastic Planning Session last week where we focused on understanding the types of projects our LHAC members were interested in undertaking to address local health priorities.

We realised we all want the same thing! - better health care for our community! So how do we go about achieving this?

We decided we would work on some projects this year to help raise awareness and improve understanding of services available. So you're going to be seeing more of us!

We will be connecting with community groups and coming to find out what you need so that we can advocate for our community.
You are also welcome to reach out to us! Message us, or post below your comments, feedback and ideas! We'd love to hear from you!

Thank you to the teams from Murrumbidgee Local Health District and Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network for coming out to support us with our planning session!

Stepping On is coming soon to Junee!

If you've recently fallen, or are fearful that you will, the Stepping On program could be just what you need to improve your confidence.

Program leaders Grace and Amy are keen to make sure you stay active and independent for as long as possible.

During the 7 week program they will take you through some strategies to reduce your falls risk, plus some fun strength and balance exercises.

The weekly sessions will be held at Junee Hospital on Mondays at 10am, starting on February 24.

Get in quickly and to book your spot! Call 02 6924 8316. Please leave a message if unattended and your call will be returned.

Junee Community Centre and Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network Collaborate for Community Well-being!

Junee, NSW - The Junee Community Centre, in collaboration with the Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network, is proud to announce the upcoming "Living Your Best Life" forum. Scheduled for May 8th, starting at 3pm, at the Junee Recreational Centre, this event aims to empower seniors in the Junee area by providing them with essential knowledge about available resources and assistance.

The "Living Your Best Life" forum is not just a gathering; it's a platform for meaningful connections and valuable insights. Seniors in our community will have the opportunity to interact directly with service providers from diverse sectors, ranging from legal advice to health and wellbeing information. By bringing together a range of services, the event ensures a comprehensive and accessible stream of information for our esteemed seniors.

This forum serves a dual purpose - while empowering seniors with crucial knowledge, it also provides a platform for service providers to engage directly with the aged care community. This engagement facilitates the showcasing of services and offerings aimed at enriching the lives of the aged population in Junee. Moreover, the event encourages collaboration among service providers, fostering an environment of mutual support and synergy.

We are excited to host the 'Living Your Best Life' forum in collaboration with the Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network. This event is a testament to our commitment to the well-being of our seniors and the broader community. We believe that by connecting seniors with essential resources and fostering collaboration among service providers, we can truly make a positive impact on the lives of our seniors.

The "Living Your Best Life" forum promises to be an enriching experience for both seniors and service providers alike. We invite all seniors in the Junee area to join us on May 8th at the Junee Recreational Centre. Let's come together to empower our seniors and build a stronger, more connected community.
