SCRATCH MATCH
Saturday 21st March
Fremantle CBC vs Kelmscott
It was a tough early start this morning with Fremantle CBC only able to field six players for our scratch match against Kelmscott. However, in a fantastic show of sportsmanship, Kelmscott stepped up and lent us eight players per quarter so we could play a full 14-a-side game.
To make it work, we played on a reduced field, ensuring everyone from both teams got plenty of the ball.
I also debuted my first-ever Temu order !! eight pairs of long red arm sleeves! These are for players who prefer not to be tackled, and it was great to see four Kelmscott players happy to wear them. It really helped ensure they had a positive, comfortable experience on the footy field.
Since it was a scratch match, we didn't keep score. The highlight was definitely seeing the Kelmscott players proudly pull on the CBC jumper just so we could all enjoy a game of footy and dust off the cobwebs before Round 1 !!
A huge thank you to the Kelmscott umpires, Rob Turner and Kylie Plummer, and our CBC coaches, Deklan Harvey and Cullum Winn. We couldn't host a game without our amaizing volunteers.
Wishing Kelmscott all the very best in the the upcoming 2026 PFL Integrated Football Season :)
