SCRATCH MATCH
Saturday 21st March
Fremantle CBC vs Kelmscott

It was a tough early start this morning with Fremantle CBC only able to field six players for our scratch match against Kelmscott. However, in a fantastic show of sportsmanship, Kelmscott stepped up and lent us eight players per quarter so we could play a full 14-a-side game.

To make it work, we played on a reduced field, ensuring everyone from both teams got plenty of the ball.

I also debuted my first-ever Temu order !! eight pairs of long red arm sleeves! These are for players who prefer not to be tackled, and it was great to see four Kelmscott players happy to wear them. It really helped ensure they had a positive, comfortable experience on the footy field.

Since it was a scratch match, we didn't keep score. The highlight was definitely seeing the Kelmscott players proudly pull on the CBC jumper just so we could all enjoy a game of footy and dust off the cobwebs before Round 1 !!

A huge thank you to the Kelmscott umpires, Rob Turner and Kylie Plummer, and our CBC coaches, Deklan Harvey and Cullum Winn. We couldn't host a game without our amaizing volunteers.

Wishing Kelmscott all the very best in the the upcoming 2026 PFL Integrated Football Season :)

Great turnout tonight for our second pre-season session! We had 21 players back on the field, all bringing heaps of energy and ready to train hard alongside their teammates.

A massive thank you to the four support workers who joined our coaches tonight. Having that extra hands-on deck is a game-changer—it allows for more 1:1 coaching and small-group drills, ensuring every player gets the specific skill support they need.

Fantastic training session all around.

See you all next Thursday!

ROUND 7: AFL 9’s GAME REPORT
Fremantle CBC vs Warnbro Swans
Wednesday, 18th March 2026

It was a sweltering afternoon at Rockingham, with the mercury still sitting just under 35 degrees by the 6.00 pm bounce. In the interest of player safety, officials and coaches agreed to play three 13-minute periods with extended breaks.

Before the game commenced, the Fremantle CBC Integrated Football Team paused to honour the one-year anniversary of the passing of Owen Hinchliffe. Coach Cullum Winn and CBC Life Member Kyron Timms shared moving words regarding Owen’s legacy as an inaugural Integrated Life member and an inaugural 2010 player with over 150 games. Both teams observed a respectful minute of silence to remember Owen who truly loved his football Club and his teammates.

Player numbers were tight, with Fremantle CBC only able to field seven and Warnbro Swans eight players. Despite the heat and the lack of rotations, the pace was high from the start. CBC took an early lead, ending the first period ahead 7.5 (47) to 3.2 (20).

The second period saw the Warnbro Swans find their rhythm, doubling their score through impressive speed and communication. However, CBC managed to keep the lead with a four-goal burst.

In the final third, Warnbro Swans dug deep to outscore CBC five goals to two, but the early lead proved too much to bridge and CBC took the win.

Final Score
Fremantle CBC: 13.11 (89) def. Warnbro Swans: 11.8 (74)

CBC Goal Kickers:
• Jake Lewis: 4
• Kyron Timms: 4
• Caleb Grant: 3
• Andrew Finn: 2

A massive thank you to our coaches, goal umpires and all the volunteers who braved the heat. It was a fantastic display of sportsmanship and fitness from both sides.

Regards,

Heather Timms

Sadly it's one year since our dear friend and teammate, Owen Hinchliffe passed away.

As an inaugural player and Life Member, Owen’s 150-game contribution to our club was matched only by his passion for the game and his loyalty to his teammates.

To honour his lasting legacy, we invite you to the Owen Hinchliffe Memorial Game at home on Saturday, 25th April. We’ll be taking on Coolbinia at 5:20 pm in loving memory of a club legend.

Our thoughts remain with his family, friends and fellow team-mates today. Forever in our hearts, Owen. xx
