With very chilli conditions for our night game at Morris Buzaccott, it was good to have 21 players eager to play.

Trei Stewart was on fire kicking two quick goals in the first quarter then he was placed in the backline to defend our goals. All players were rotated throughout the field to give them a chance to play in different positions and every player received time on the bench. That was until the last quarter, as we didn’t have a bench as we had 3 players out with injuries. Luckily not to serious, and they will be back to play next Saturday.

A good solid game of footy with both teams getting amongst the play with lots of good contests. Wembley missed a few easy goals as the ball unfortunately hit the behind post on a few occasions. The score doesn’t reflect the effort that both teams put into the game.

Next week we have a road trip to Mandurah to play at Peel Thunder Oval, our last game of the season before finals !

Despite the bitterly chilly conditions it's good to see that 21 players out of 25 turned up for training tonight.

Coaches Deklan and Cullum worked them hard to keep them active.

Special thanks to Rikki for managing the team in my absence. Kyron, Damien and I are in Chilli Canberra 🥶 home early Saturday morning in time for our 5.10 pm game against Wembley.
