As you know, my son, Gus was diagnosed with Leukaemia (ALL) in May this year. This has been a huge shock and it has certainly changed our life to a new normal. Gus is going really well with his treatments, but this is just the beginning and we still have another 2.5 years to go!

Our friends and our community have provided us with so much support and it is because of you all we have been able to concentrate on Gus and Edith and fight this head on. We have received meals, toys, babysitting, and shoulders to cry on and it has been amazing. We are indebted to you all.

Over the past month, family and friends have asked if they are able to start fundraising for us, as they know this fight isn’t going to be a short one, and so, a few ideas have been born.
The first is this gofundme, which has been started by our amazing Polish Community (thank you Beata) and in the coming months, they will also hold an event at General Sikorski Polish Club. Then towards the end of the year, Michael will be donning on some lycra and pedalling the streets in a fundraising bike ride!

This feels so strange to be sharing such a link, and in no way do we expect people to donate, but the love and support we have received has truly been mind blowing and we want to thank you from the bottom of your hearts.

Many of you may know this, but in May, my 4yr old son Gus was diagnosed with Leukemia.
Since then, he has undergone numerous procedures and has this week started his third round of treatment. Overall treatment will last over two years and he will continue to have regular check ups for the rest of his life.
Supertee is a charity close to our heart and our home. Gus was gifted one of these tees the week we were admitted and it has been a big part of our hospital routine and provides a way for him to be brave.
Sadly, due to his treatment it is unlikely we will be able to attend this year’s ball, but if you’re looking for a reason to get dressed up and go, this is the year to do it!

Where has the year gone?!?

One year ago I conducted my first wedding and tomorrow I was meant to be on the beach in Mandurah marrying my 20th couple but sadly they have had to postpone due to these strange and turbulent times.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this beautiful ride and to all my future couples, we will be celebrating together very soon 🌸💗🌸
