NSW Steiner schools, 2025 philosophy camp students, practicing sword techniques as part of a two day workshop on walking the path of the peaceful warrior. 22 of the 150 students were introduced to the philosophy underpinning the lifelong practice of Hapkido.

Violence management in the workplace. Workplace agression and violence takes many forms. Hapkido lends itself perfectly to management and control of violence. The student in this picture has been learning to move with the weopon and then disarm her oponent.

I met a former student today who reminded me of something I told him that stayed with him. In martial arts, and possibly in life. To acheive success requires three essential elements. The first is determination. From determination flows persistence and from persistence comes perfection. The second is the right people who support you. Coaches, teachers, mentors, family, supporters and people who share your dream and help you stay the course. The third element is opportunity. Opportunity is that moment when a door is open and you have your chance to shine.

My Stage 6 Sport, Lifestyle and Recreation students from Aurora Steiner High School in Bowral NSW, paid a visit to Canberra as part of our outdoor recreation program and had a fantastic Hapkido experience training with Master Adrian, Black belt Brett and their Canberra Hapkido team.
