Our Team had a Beautiful Evening with AMAZING Hannah, , her FANTASTIC Family & Team, our Wonderful Community from across the Northern Beaches and with FABULOUS MC , from the too ✨🫶🏻🕊️🦋♥️.

Hannah, your Launch Party, Silent Auction, Raffle & Celebration was AMAZING!!!! It showcased the Phenomenal Work that you have done (and are doing) for those who have sadly experienced Pregnancy & Infant Loss 💔. It was So Heartfelt & So, So Beautiful - Thank You ✨🫶🏻💜.

We stand with you, we grieve with you & we celebrate your phenomenal work with you 🌸. We, as The Nesting Hub midwives feel so proud to know & have worked along-side you & we are proud of the fantastic work that you & your team do, in creating & shipping free urns to those whose beloved babies pass away ✨💔.

It has been widely reported that continuity of midwifery care following pregnancy & infant loss can help grieving families in their journey forward. In offering within your Silent Auction, one full continuity of care experience, to one of the families whose paths you have crossed in this space, just makes our hearts sing 🎶 ♥️. Each of our Nesting Hub Families are given a little something from their Midwife…, and we just LOVE our new batch of Nesting Hub Vests.

It makes our hearts sing to care for & to support women / birthing people & their families in their journey to homebirth and beyond 🤩🫶🏻.

In the early hours of this morning, while many were tucked up in bed, Midwife Emma & her 2nd Midwife Lena, our newest Nesting Hub Midwife!, were united as this 1st time Mumma worked hard to bring this couple’s baby earth-side at home….and, it was So Special ✨💜. This was also Lena’s 1st Birth as part of Our Nesting Hub Team & we are Beyond Happy about that!!!

Such a Momentous Day for You All Emma, Lena & New Familyyyyyyy!!!! 🎊. You ALL Rock!!! 🙌🏻 & Mumma - you are Absolutely AMAZING!! 🤩.

Here is a little Introduction & Bio from The Nesting Hub’s Midwife Lena:

I have a heart for supporting women to embrace their inner power and be at the centre of their own journey. I believe that all women deserve compassionate, respectful and holistic care, which allows them to be confident in making informed choices. I am passionate about physiological birth, breastfeeding, instinctual parenting, and encouraging you to follow your intuition and work with your body’s perfectly designed physiology.
Based out of Sydney’s Inner West, I offer the full continuum of care, including homebirths.

My professional experience spans continuity-of-care models and working in a publicly funded homebirth system. I am grateful to be able to offer families greater choice, control, and flexibility as a private midwife.

As a proud midwife, wife, and mother, I understand the transformative nature of birth and the transition into motherhood. In my own mothering journey, I had a magical labour at home, which resulted in an unexpected hospital transfer. Despite a birth that didn’t go as I hoped, my labour, birth, and postnatal journey remain the most powerful experiences of my life, by which I found my inner strength and wisdom. I am committed to seeing that every woman and family in my care are ready to embrace their unique journey.

Lena holds a Bachelor of Midwifery Degree from the UTS: University of Technology Sydney, UTS Health in Sydney, and is currently completing her Masters in Primary Maternity Care through Griffith Health at Griffith University. She is also working towards accreditation as a Lactation Consultant and being a Possums Neuroprotective Development Care Practitioner with Possums & Dr Pamela Douglas 💜.
