People often ask me as a Yoga teacher do I practice every day? The honest answer....no.

But I do now practice more days than I don't and I have stopped beating myself up for any days that I miss.

The key I have found to getting myself onto the mat is a short (15 mins or less) targeted practice that enhances my day by supporting my body and mind to feel the way I need it to.

This practice is a combination of mobility and stretches that work for my body and some postures prescribed by my Ayurvedic Doctor.

My 3 years of Yoga Therapy training enables me to collaborate with you to determine which practices will be most beneficial for you to feel at your best.

If you'd like to start 2026 and most days feeling like the best version of yourself then lets get to work together to find the practices that are right for you.

For just $100 you get a 1 hour session and a take home personalised practice, this might involve asana (physical poses), mudra (hand gestures), mantra (chanting), pranayama (breathwork) or meditation. Even better if you are a class pass holder then receive a $25 discount.

People often ask me if I practice everyday... I could lie and say yes but that's not real life is it!

I very rarely miss my Reiki practice as thats easy I can lie in bed and do that one. Getting onto the mat can take a little more motivation. But I do manage most days and try not to beat myself up for the ones that I miss.

After 7 years I have found a short but targeted practice that makes me feel the way I want, or need to feel, is the one I'm going to turn up for.

Todays practice was a combination of warm up, mobilisation and stretches that my body enjoys and then some strengthening and grounding postures as prescribed by my Ayurvedic doctor.

If you would like help in finding the optimum way to start your day then lets workshop it together! Using my Yoga Therapy training and your expertise of your body we can create a short 10 to 15 minute practice that will leave you starting the day on your terms!

I'm planning an online class this Sunday evening if you're in Australia or Sunday morning if you're in the Uk.

It will be a gently nourishing floor based somatic yoga class to release tension and encourage mobility. A chance to pause, breathe, connect with your body and let those busy thoughts settle for a while.

Class will include a 20 minute Yoga Nidra to support deep mental relaxation.

As a woman of a certain age who wants all women to thrive I highly recommend this podcast for a super real view of Peri Menopause. It also has the best name and logo too!

It explains what Peri Menopause is and how we got to 2025 without us all being educated about this stage of life that over 50% of the population goes through. Grrrr!

I discovered today GP's spend less than 1/2 a day studying Menopause as part of their qualifications! Eek! No wonder good help is hard to find.

I only knew I had been in Peri menopause in hindsight because my periods had stopped at age 44! Eeek! Kind of explained why I had been struggling to function at work for the past couple of years. It also took a Yoga Therapy Grad Diploma where my thesis paper focused on 'Yoga for Menopause' to really get a handle on what I thought this all meant!

Despite all that research I am still discovering more through this podcast. Please share far and wide to women of all ages. It might be cathartic for women of the Boomer generation that had to suffer in silence, it might provide an aha moment for someone currently going through it and unaware, it might help to prepare the next generation of women for what is ahead. It may educate a partner or a child why their other half is not currently the woman she used to be!

This is so much more than hot flashes peeps, I never had a single one. I had chronic anxiety, joint pain and dryness as my overriding symptoms. Oh and Osteopenia - the stage before osteoporosis and brittle bones - I had two male GPs tell me I didn't need a bone scan until I was 70! Luckily I staged a sit in until I got the referral. Took me all my time not to say I told you so as I was requested back to discuss the results! As estrogen drops so does bone density without specific intervention.

Ayurveda has been my saviour through all of this - oh and HRT patches. If you need any support please reach out!
