This one gave me goosebumps.

A young woman had her eyes checked, and the optometrist noticed a tiny sign at the back of the eye called a Roth spot (a white-centred retinal haemorrhage). That one finding triggered the right referrals and follow-up… and the outcome could have been very different if it had been missed.

And here’s the takeaway: you don’t need symptoms to need a check.
A lot can be happening quietly, and the back of the eye can sometimes reveal clues long before you “feel” anything.

Unique By Design

Established in January 1998 by Dr Nicholas Altuneg, Eyes by Design was founded out of his passion for helping children, especially those with developmental and learning difficulties, reach their full potential.

Dr Altuneg is a highly distinguished professional in the field of optometry. He completed a Bachelor of Optometry course at UNSW with honours in 1993 and has also completed the Masters of Optometry courses in Behavioral Optometry, Advanced Contact Lens Studies and Ocular Therapeutics.

For over a decade now, Eyes By Design has established a reputation for being a great optometry service providers in the region. With a specialisation in Behavioral Optometry, Eyes by Design provides a quality customer service and professional diagnosis that you deserve.
