I haven’t posted for awhile and thought I’d take the opportunity to share an amazing experience Open Arms support was able to participate in.

For the past few years open Arms support has had the pleasure of providing sponsorship to Saltire motorsports. We have been honoured to spend time with not only satire motorsports but their family, friends and team mates.

Being invited to attend these racing events has been an amazing experience and privilege. Throughout the past few seasons I have felt as if I am part of this amazing family, a community whose generosity, acceptance and camaraderie has exceeded my expectations and humbled me.

On Sunday 26th November Open Arms Support was invited to attend sponsors day at QLD raceway. Not only was this an exciting opportunity but it was also a personal tribute for my father. My Dad, would’ve been 74 on Sunday and Saltire Motorsport, Lisa Capstick, Adrian capstick and Dylan capstick went above and beyond to ensure this experience was a momentous one. My dad, for as long as I can remember was a huge fan of all Motorsport and would’ve have been so happy and proud that Open Arms support was assisting such an amazing team and group of people.

As of 2024 and the new season Dylan Capstick and Gordon smith have teamed up to and are now Cenos Motorsport. Stay tuned, throughout the next few months we are all working tirelessly to present some amazing opportunity.

I have compiled some footage below of our experience, it’s not perfect, but it was so much fun.

On Monday we were honoured to hold a market stall at The retro picnic goodna. Here are a few pictures from the courier mail. We are so pleased to have again had the opportunity to meet some amazing people. Open Arms support is excited to be a part of the Ipswich Dog day on Saturday from 10:00 - 14:00 in the Nicholas Street precinct. Come down and say hi, check out some of the Doggo products we have available.

Check out these “pawesome” bandanas & treats that both participants and Open Arms Disability Support Services QLD have been working on tirelessly.

With only a week to go before the Goodna Street Life markets, Open Arms Support team thought that we’d share some of the goodies that we will be selling this Sunday on the 16th of April.

Our stall will include dog friendly treats such as:

Macarons, maple bacon cinnamon pupcakes aswell as banana pumpkin peanut butter pup cakes. Karob and yogurt coated peanut butter treats will be there too! There’s also flee repellent coconut treats, minty fresh breath doggy treats aswell as chocolate cheese cakes & “dawgnuts” for your furry little friend. These are no ordinary treats, these look like something you’d buy for yourself at a bakery, but we promise that these are all dog friendly!

We’re also selling homemade dog wash, nose/paw balm and dog shampoo bars.

Last but not least these beautiful bandanas that are shown below will also be sold at our stall, they vary in sizes from S/M/L/XL with many different patterns to chose from.

We really hope to see you at Goodna Street Life!!!
