Animal Rescue: this concept entails a wide array of opportunities for those that would love to help support animals in need in whatever way they can. Supporting animal rescue usually involves volunteer work, donations or help with other necessary resources.

The rescue part of our farm has been such a difficult, but rewarding aspect that we have had to dive head first into. We greatly appreciate the support we’ve had so far, but there is so much more that we can do.

We have been able to support the medical, dietary and training support for our 4 rescue horses to thrive and enjoy their free surroundings. All arrived with a mix of health and behavioural problems and we have worked hard to support their growth and they are now happy and active participants in our wonderful little rescue family.

The rescue part of our farm is completely not for profit and all donations are used to assist with the specific needs of our animals, as well the addition of resources to expand the amount of animals we can help.

All donations include a free animal experience. This includes learning and participating in horse grooming and a beginner equine therapy experience. Contact us for availability.

We appreciate all the donations and support so far and we look forward to updating you on the upgrades and additions to our rescue team.

Much love 🐴🐶

Hi all, we’ve had a few expensive and unexpected vet bills of late that have set us back in our rescue progress. If you can help out in getting us back on track and thriving it would be greatly appreciated.
All costs go to resources such as food, medicine, coats and other various costs required to keep the crew happy and healthy. Much love x

What is equine therapy?
If you haven’t spent a lot of time around horses you may not understand the concept. In a nutshell, equine therapy is the ultimate emotional check. Horses can sense your mood from a mile away. If you’ve had a bad day, leave it at the gate or expect a frosty welcome from the horses, in particular Scarlett… Our super empath girl.

Being present with a horse, whilst grooming, rugging, riding or just breathing and standing requires a lot of time, patience, consideration and love. This forces you to put your emotional baggage to the side and focus on being with your animal and listening to what they’re telling you.
From my own personal mental health journey, I can’t stress how important my horses have been in my progress and understanding of my emotions.

Equine therapy programs and experiences can be created for literally anyone. They are provided in a safe environment with considerations made for different levels of comfort around animals.

We have recently had some extra days open up, so if you think this might be a program for you, your child or client send us a message.

Ezra- the protector
We rescued this little guy late last year after he was struck by a car escaping his suburban backyard. Despite all the best intentions, this animal is not built for backyards or any restraints really. The family had paid a lot of money to purchase him from a breeder, but due to misinformation or misunderstanding they had the wrong dog. To their credit, they made sure he found a new home and thankfully we found him.
Ezra was 6 months when he arrived and was a very angry and misunderstood little puppy. He left a few of us with cuts and bruises, but after his first night at the farm he was a different animal. There have been some teething issues and the occasional harmless scrap over attention, but overall he has been perfect. He has amazing instincts and boundless energy.
Everyday he learns and grows and bonds with the other animals. We cannot harness or put him in a confined yard for too long, but we’ve began to understand and trust him to know his boundaries and his job and he continues to blow our minds with his incredible intelligence.
Some breeders are excellent. They love and treat their animals almost as well as ours. But the industry has exploited these beautiful creatures into an unsustainable situation and I ask of anyone considering a new animal, please visit or contact a rescue centre near you.

Getting out the morning sillies…
Blankets on in the middle of summer and not just to keep off the flys. Seems normal 🫤

Hi everyone, we had a recent security issue with our email account, so it’s currently not active. If you need to contact us, fb message is your best bet.
We also accept carrier pigeon and old fashioned telegrams (expect delays), but the inter web is probably a more efficient means.
Thanks

Olive (Livvy) is surprisingly not related to Ollie. She is a sweet 4 year old that is usually found swimming, running, playing or sleeping. Livvy was a courageous and exuberant puppy and was passed around rescue homes before finding her forever home with us in 2019.
Livvy loves everyone and almost everything! Not a big fan of birds, but is still developing her own flying machine.
The Hunter Animal Rescue did a wonderful job making sure Livvy found us and they can help you find the forever animal that can become part of your family. Donations to these organisations are also greatly appreciated to help maintain such high quality rescue services for neglected and unwanted animals.
