It’s not just cleaning, cooking, or “looking after” someone.
It’s about helping people live more independently, confidently, and comfortably - in a way that works for them.
On any given day, a support worker might:
• Help with meals, cleaning, or organising the home
• Support with appointments and schedules
• Get out and about - shopping, coffee, walks
• Simply be there to talk, listen, and connect
But the most important part?
It’s not about doing everything for someone -
It’s about working with them.
Supporting independence.
Building confidence.
Creating choice.
Because at its core, support work is about helping people live life on their own terms.
