Lately, I’ve been really unwell, and it’s reminded me just how precious health is.

These are 7 lessons I’ve had to learn the hard way. Some came with tears, burnout, or heartbreak… but all of them shaped how I show up in the world (and for my clients).

I’m the face behind this account — an Accredited Sports Dietitian and Eating Disorder Clinician 🖤

You’ll find me juggling clinic consults, uni lectures, public health programs, and cheering on athletes from the sidelines. I’m deeply passionate about helping people heal their relationship with food, fuel their performance, and take the thinking out of eating.

Proud to be supporting Women in Sport 🏆

The AFLW season has kicked off for 2024, and we were so grateful for the opportunity to support .hinkley02 (Number 14) this year.

I still remember wanting to play AFL when I was in high school. I wasn’t allowed. So I was the water runner instead.
I watched my brother play footy every weekend for years. And my sister and I wanted to play so badly. She was a little older than me and so she took up a chance to be a field umpire.

Footy was such an important part of my childhood and brought my family together. And yet I couldn’t play. All I’ve ever wanted was to balance the playing field for women in sport. I hope that the young girls coming through now get the opportunities I didn’t have, and that it continues to bring families and communities even closer.

We can not be, what we can not see. 🖤

👋 I’m Tahlia and I’m so excited to be joining the Eat Nutrition team!

What you should know about me:

👩🏼‍🎓I’m an Accredited Sports Nutritionist (O) and a Physiotherapist.

🍦I eat dessert every night, it’s a must for me.

🏃‍♀️ I’ve completed two (official) half marathons and am training for Gold Coast marathon this year! I also enjoy strength training and swimming.

🏖️I live in a beach side town in Adelaide... I could never live more than 10 minutes from the beach, I’ve tried.

🐶I have a golden retriever puppy called Winston, he’s like my child - he may make a guest appearance in our consults upon request.

🥗 I’ve personally had an eating disorder and know what it feels like to run on empty vs. fuel adequately for running. This is why I’m so passionate about supporting others to fuel well to thrive in their sporting pursuits and daily lives.

💖 I love getting to know other people and will probably ask you a million questions but this is because I am not about that cookie cutter approach. I want to support you to reach your goals in a way that is enjoyable for you and fits into your lifestyle.

Sharing these grapes for no other purpose than to tell you that they’re tasty 😂🍇

These cotton candy flavoured grapes have to be my second favourite fruit. And I buy them every year. They don’t really taste like fairy floss to me - but they’re definitely sweeter.

At the end of the day, if you struggle to eat enough fruit, just pick one you’ll actually eat. Sure - a variety of colour is great and all, but sometimes it’s better to eat just the one type of fruit, than no fruit at all.

So I’m going to do just that. Eat my weight in these grapes until their season is over 🫠
