My name is Caitlin, one of the 6th-year students and the Albury Wodonga Medical Students’ Society (AWMSS) president for 2026!
AWMSS is a student-run society that aims to improve your experience studying here at the UNSW Albury-Wodonga Rural Clinical Campus. Our active committee is passionate in advocating for students to the clinical school, Sydney faculty, other medical societies and beyond. We also collaborate with other organisations, and work to ensure that students here are engaged with, supported by, and connected to the local medical and wider community.
Throughout the year we will run plenty of social, sporting and community events for everyone to get involved in, meet new people, and feel connected. We’re always open to new ideas—whether it’s an event you’d love to see or something that could make student life better—so we would love you to bring any and all ideas to the table!!
We know moving to a new town to study can feel daunting, but we hope the medical student community helps you settle in and feel at home. Whether you chose Albury or Albury chose you, I hope you come to love the time you spend here.
If you have any questions, worries, or just want to know more about Albury, please reach out. I’m looking forward to meeting you all next year and can’t wait for a fun year ahead!edmonstone
