Media alert: AMTA and NDIS participants and families to speak on proposed funding cuts

President of the Australian Music Therapy Association (AMTA) Monica Zidar RMT will join NDIS participants, their families and music therapy professionals to discuss proposed Federal government cuts to funding.

This follows an urgent letter to Bill Shorten requesting a meeting to discuss this matter which he has so far refused. Read the letter: https://lnkd.in/gGMp4FrG

The funding cuts proposed by government follow an unauthorised leak from the NDIA, no consultation and are despite the evidence case.

Families, children and music therapy professionals will be available for interview.

Hey there, music lovers! I am beyond excited to share that I have opened my very own music therapy studio. With three years of experience as a music therapist under my belt, I am now taking the leap into private practice. A little background on me - I have a bachelor's degree in music and have been teaching piano for 12 years. I've also rocked out on the keyboard and synthesizer with over 20 bands in various genres before pursuing my passion for music therapy in Australia. I graduated with a master's degree in music therapy in 2020 and am now a registered music therapist.

My approach to music therapy is all about focusing on clients' strengths and passions to enhance their therapy experience.
