New at Rosie Psychology: Handwriting Assessments

Does your child struggle with:

• messy or hard-to-read writing
• slow writing speed
• difficulty finishing written work
• fatigue during writing tasks

For some students, handwriting can make it much harder to show what they know — especially in timed tasks and exams.

Our handwriting assessments help identify what’s going on and provide clear, practical recommendations for school and exam support.

These are particularly helpful for college students seeking TASC reasonable adjustments.

Contact us to find out more or discuss whether a handwriting assessment may be helpful for your child.

Is your child often described as:

• easily distracted
• forgetful
• disorganised
• “capable but not applying themselves”

For many children, these behaviours aren’t about motivation — they can be linked to attention differences such as ADHD.

At Rosie Psychology, we offer comprehensive ADHD assessments that aim to understand your child’s strengths, challenges, and how they are functioning across settings.

Our assessments provide:

✔ a clear understanding of your child’s strengths and areas needing support
✔ insight into how these impact learning and daily life
✔ practical recommendations for both home and school
✔ a detailed report to support meaningful adjustments

Most importantly, they give you a clear path forward in supporting your child’s learning and wellbeing.

Contact us to book your comprehensive ADHD assessment.

It's no secret that we have a huge soft spot for our North West families and are committed to servicing this community with our regular outreach clinics. I am beyond excited to see that St Francis is opening a campus in Wynyard. This type of flexible learning can be a game changer for many of our students who do not align well with mainstream schooling.

A comprehensive educational assessment can help answer questions like:

• Why does my child work so hard but still struggle?
• Why do they understand things verbally but find written work difficult?
• Why is homework so exhausting for them?

Educational assessments can provide:

✔ identification of learning disorders such as dyslexia, dysgraphia or dyscalculia
✔ understanding of processing, attention and working memory
✔ insight into your child’s learning strengths
✔ clear recommendations for school support

For many families, the biggest benefit is simply finally understanding why learning has felt so hard.

Rosie Psychology currently has educational assessment appointments available.

With the most love, joy and pride a person can feel, I am beyond thrilled to introduce the newest (and cutest) member of the Rosie Psychology team: Archie Ray Maunder. He joined us safely and smoothly on the 14th of January. Having no prior experience, we’ve set him the tasks of sleeping, feeding, filling his nappy and looking oh so cute. He’s the perfect addition to the team ❤️🌹
