We’ve been waiting a long time for this recognition! I say “could be” because the statistics show 1 in 9 women have this disease, but because there’s not much knowledge about it in our health system many go undiagnosed or misdiagnosed.

I might be slow but I did it. 1.5 km hike, 450 granite steps. Lipoedema makes my legs feel like lead and Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM) makes me breathe heavier than most with exertion. My stubborn nature and Darin’s encouragement pushes me forward.

I have been struggling trying to decide in which non-Schengen country I should stay between Lipoedema removal surgeries in Greece next year.

I’ve been considering Turkey, North Macedonia, Albania, and Montenegro. My head has been whirling but the fact that a new LAM (Lymphangioleiomyomatosis) clinic has opened in Turkey moves it to a higher ranking. 🙂

They put together this book, which has a chapter on LAM, written in part, by the pulmonologist I saw in Cincinnati for the MILES trial, Dr. Nishant Gupta.

Have a little gander to get a better understanding of this “orphan disease” that is a part if my life. ⬇️

I couldn’t care less! 🍲 🥘 🍱

Ever since I set up camp around here, I’ve been hoarding recipe magazines like they’re going out of style. But now, it’s time to bid them farewell. Why, you ask? 💉Moun jah roahhh!!! (sic) I couldn’t care less about what’s sizzling for the summer, what’s grilling on someone else’s patio, or even the most mouthwatering fall desserts and Christmas side dishes. And Pavlova? Forget about it! I’ve reached peak “food noise” tolerance, and it’s pure bliss!

Food noise used to have me flipping through recipe books and Pinterest like a culinary detective, 🕵️‍♀️ and crafting new cookbooks from torn-out magazine pages. But now, I’m liberated! I’m no longer the keeper of recipe secrets, and my home and Darin are thanking me. No more trying to cram those magazines into a decorative basket or letting them clutter my bookshelves. This stack is off to the free box—let someone else deal with the delicious chaos!
