🎉 Today we celebrate our wonderful Primary Health Care Community Nurses 🎉

🤕 Many in our community have been the recipients of in-home care and treatment. We are grateful and appreciative of the work you all do across our communities.

♥️ Primary Health Care Nurses Day, is a day where we celebrate the incredible work nurses do outside of the hospital setting, in aged care, community, general practice, custodial, schools and a range of other primary health care settings.

♥️ Primary Health Care Nurses Day sheds light on the incredible work being done by 96,000 primary health care nurses Australia-wide. The day highlights the vital role that they play in communities along with the work that they do which positively impacts the health and wellbeing of every Australian.

♥️ Primary health care is a pivotal part of our health care system. Most people think 'hospitals' when thinking 'health'. Primary health care is often the first point of contact for individuals and families with the health care system and plays a vital role in prevention, early intervention, and ongoing care.

🌿 This year’s International Volunteer Day theme is ‘If Everyone Did'.

Volunteering Australia is encouraging everyone to make International Volunteer Day this year a moment to consider if everyone volunteered, the world would be a better place. Imagine more than eight billion of us volunteering. Limitless possibilities for sustainable development – food and education for everyone, clean environment and good health, inclusive and peaceful societies, and more.

MPHN would especially like to thank all members of our LHACs who do outstanding work championing the health needs of our local communities. Thank you for your dedication!
