Q. Your gifts are so intriguing. How did you discover this was your specialty?

A. I discovered astrology when I was very young. My mother always loved to read her ‘stars’ and then, when I was 9 years old, I was given a reading by a family friend. She explained that I have Sagittarius rising, and that this might be one of the reasons that I’ve always been drawn to horses. She also pointed that I have a number of personal planets in the fifth house, which explained my natural creativity. That was the beginning of a lifetime of fascination!

What happens when you work with me?

We begin with a live consultation scheduled for 90 minutes, often extending to allow deeper chart analysis. The session is thorough, focused, and unhurried.

Afterwards, you receive two substantial e-book style documents prepared specifically for you. Your Natal Report, around 30 pages, explores your structural patterns, strengths, long-term themes, and developmental cycles. Your Transit Report, around 45 pages, maps the significant planetary transits of the next two to three years, analysed chronologically for timing, opportunity, and challenge.

These are not computer-generated texts but carefully written, original material developed and refined since 2002, when I broke my knee. That’s right, I got into writing – literally – by accident! After taking a tumble from my friend’s horse I was stuck at home for several weeks with not much to do! So I sat down at my computer to write, and I’ve been doing so ever since.

I’ve been sitting with something for a while, and I’ve finally written it down.

So much of the coaching and personal development content I encounter assumes I’m in pain. That something needs fixing.

And I’ve been trying to work out why it doesn’t always land for me, because the people creating it are often brilliant and the work they do genuinely changes lives.

The answer, I think, is that pain isn’t the only legitimate starting point for growth.

Sometimes you’re simply ready.

Recently, someone said “I love how you put this in English so people like myself can really understand this”.

That’s my goal. Astrology is often clothed in obscure and esoteric language and I think it’s unnecessarily intimidating. I’m always doing my best to bring it down to earth.

We need an accurate birth time in order to construct your chart. This is because the degree of the zodiac rising over the eastern horizon, which is used to calculate your Ascendant, or rising sign, changes every four minutes. Traditional astrologers referred to this point as the “horoskopos” meaning “hour marker” and is therefore the fundamental calculation on which your astrology is based.

Over the course of a single day, the rising degree moves through all twelve signs. That means even being off by just a few minutes can shift your Ascendant not just to a different degree, but to completely different sign, which cascades through the entire chart and changes the placement of every house.

So, without a birth time, we can’t calculate the Ascendant, the house cusps, or the precise positions of the Sun, Moon and planets that make a reading properly personal. So if you do you know what time you were born, you’re in luck! You have a valuable asset in your hands.

If you don’t know what time you were born, I’d suggest asking a parent or family member who may remember, or checking if any documents provided by the hospital. While some countries record this on your birth certificate, not all of them do. It’s also possible to contact the hospital in which you were born, and ask for the records department. My clients here in Australia have had a lot of success with that.

Recently I was asked the following question: "How does astrology apply to business?"

My answer? For women in business, predictive astrology is a useful decision making tool. It can help you see timing, direction and opportunity more clearly. A lot of people come to me when they are struggling to decide whether, or when, to make an important move, such as launching a marketing campaign, for example, or entering into a collaborative partnership. Through the lens of astrology, I can help you recognise opportunities you might not be able to see, understand whether the steps you are taking are aligned, and to know when it is time to act, and, sometimes, when it might be wiser to wait.

Today is Chinese New Year, a lunar beginning that reminds us that fresh starts don’t have to follow the Gregorian calendar.

What if your natural reset isn’t in January at all? What if it’s in April, or October, or whenever the Sun moves through your twelfth house?

Astrologically, we each have our own rhythm for beginnings and rest. Mine is in Scorpio season. For some, it’s Aries season. For others, it might be today.

If January came and went without the clarity you were promised, maybe nothing went wrong. Maybe your year is yet to begin.
