Politics and Circle Space…
In light of the current political climate, I feel it’s important to make this very clear: political discussion will not be part of our circles.
Our circles are sacred spaces. They are places where we gather not as political identities, but as humans, tender, complex, and whole.
Removing political discussion from circles is not silencing voices or ignoring the realities of the world. Removing political discussion is about creating a space where we can step beyond division, labels, and debate into something deeper: our shared humanity.
Political conversations are important, but they belong in forums designed for them. Circles are not designed for politcal conversations. Circles are medicine spaces, here for healing, connection, and the reclamation of self.
Politics, by nature, polarize. It pulls us into mental debate, reinforces “sides,” and distracts from the deeper purpose of sitting together: remembering what unites us.
When we leave politics at the door, we make space for…
• Listening without agenda so we can hear each other’s hearts, not ideologies.
• Belonging beyond belief by being welcomed exactly as we are, without needing to align on policy or party.
• Safety for all voices, so no one feels judged, silenced, or pressured to agree.
• Shared humanity remembering that before we are voters, activists, or citizens, we are souls walking the same earth.
Circles are about weaving threads that are stronger than opinion. Here, we meet each other as sisters, mothers, daughters, friends, as humans who breathe, grieve, heal, and hope.
In circle, we choose connection over debate. In circle we step out of the noise of the world and into the deeper rhythm of connection.
If leaving political conversations at the door feels challenging, then this circle may not be the space for you.
