Expressions of Interest – NDIS Social Night at The Family Hotel, Maitland!

We’re excited to announce plans for a monthly NDIS Participants Social Night at The Family Hotel in Maitland – and we want to hear from you!

This will be a fun and relaxed evening where participants can connect, share a meal, play games, enjoy live music, and just hang out in a supportive and friendly environment.

The Week That Was at Creative Disability Services!

What a week! We made big strides in pre-production on “Lie Detector”, our latest short film project. Our team also set up a live streaming rig for The Family Hotel, bringing even more professional media opportunities to our participants.

In our creative programs, we kicked off miniature and prop painting classes, played some Age of Empires 4, and battled it out in Magic: The Gathering.

We also welcomed some new faces, with a few soon-to-be participants dropping in to check out what we do!

Next week is shaping up to be even bigger—stay tuned. Happy weekend!

NDIS Miniature, Warhammer, and Prop Painting Program – Now in Maitland, NSW!

Creative Disability Services is excited to offer a miniature, Warhammer, and prop painting program led by Damian! This hands-on, creative program is designed for NDIS participants of all skill levels, providing a fun and supportive space to learn painting techniques, express creativity, and develop fine motor skills.

Held at our Maitland, NSW location, this program encourages social interaction, focus, and artistic expression while working on detailed miniatures and props. NDIS participants can use their funding under Access to Community, Social, and Recreational Activities (04_102_0136_6_1) to join.

MAGIC THE GATHERING DAY - MAITLAND, NSW

We had a massive day of wizards_magic’s Magic: The Gathering today!

All our clients played around 8-9 rounds in total.

If you are interested in table top or video gaming, and you have an NDIS plan, we would love to have you join us, any weekday!

Our NDIS participants have been hard at work, writing up a storm!

They’ve been developing their one-minute business videos while also engaging in a team-wide pre-production discussion on a script written by James Fogarty, one of our participants.

The storyboarding process is now underway, with filming set to take place in the next month.

Hands-On Learning in the Film Studio Program!

We were thrilled to support James as he honed his skills in live production, learning and operating the switcher at the KNIGHT TIME PODCAST - It's all about League! as part of our Film Studio Program. This hands-on experience gave him valuable insight into live broadcasting, camera switching, and real-time production—key skills in the world of media!

James did an incredible job adapting to the fast-paced environment, and we can’t wait to see how he continues to grow in his film and media journey.
